Scoreboard82
Hope we get Nolan in quick, the following team would have a chance Harper Taylor Bassong Colocini Enrique Jonas Lovenkrands Nolan Zog Carroll Duff (or if Zog aint fit, bring Butt into CM with Duff LW and Lov up front) Lovenkrands CM? Not sure about that. Is that opera singer singing this year? Singing? The way things are going, he could be playing.

Thats stupd, Lua Lua should be just behind Krul, not just in front. otherwise that would be my first XXII as well. Wow depressing, 22 players and only a half dozen of them I would have start for us

I honesly cannot understand what coaches see in him, or don't see...How can anyone who's watched football for many years think he's good. Absolutely unbelievable.....Annoying as hell imo.. Pilko
Hope Shola's fit. Did i just say that? Even if he is I'd like to think he made the bench. Would be rather harsh to drop Carroll imo.

Yorkie
I'd have Carroll and Shola upfront. Hardly the most technically brilliant pairing but Lovenkrands has barely had a moment of footy and he's a bit of an unknown quantity tbh (though i concede, that could work in our favour too). If Nolan is fit and available then we can just deploy him in an attacking midfielder role, and having two big men up there would win atleast a few headers and flick-ons. Nolan will be up for it iyam and we might see him grab a goal i reckon. Shola's got a decent record in these games aswell to be fair to him. Having Lovenkrands on the bench will be more worth it too. Bringing him on is better than bringing Shola on (pace).
JH
We need some pace upfront IMO. Shola and Carroll are too alike. I wouldn't play them together. They'll just be flicking balls onto empty space.
Yorkie
I wouldn't be afraid to play it cautious, to be fair. I don't fancy Sunderland to pose much of an attacking threat. Stick Bassong on Jones and tell him to watch him like a hawk. Get the ball on the ground and play it. Carroll and Shola are capable of holding the ball up, and hopefully the likes of Jonas and Duff will get a kick up the arse in the dressing room. Get some crosses in, keep it on the ground through the middle, keep it tight. If we're still level on seventy minutes chuck Lua Lua and Lovenkrands on and go for it. Funny how a new signing can re-invigorate your confidence a bit. I just don't fancy Sunderland at all. If we can win this one ugly i'll be happy. Cisse will rape Coloccini while Bassong gets bashed around by Jones, unfortunately. Welcome back to pessimism!
Pilko
Cisse is the type of quick, muscular striker that Colo always struggles against.
