Awful news for the guy, I'm really curious as to how it's managed to fuck him for next year as well though.

Our medical staff.

I think he's going to have to be very lucky if this doesn't force him to retire, I doubt we will ever see him again though.

Our medical staff are at fault for this? Sorry, what is this based on?

It was a tongue in cheek comment, however they do have previous in mis-treating our injured players and mis-judging the amount of time required to recuperate.

Gutted for the lad.  A decent, hard working pro who is useful as a squad member.

How do you recover from something like this.  Not even physically, but mentally..

That's the greater challenge, for repeat ACL'ers - staring at another tough 12 mth rehab/slog with the specialists post-op, just to get back to the professional level of performance. And it's arguably the physically most taxing rehab regime going around, at an elite level. It's that aspect (the mental side) which forces the retirement, especially when it' back-to-back, or a 3-peat

The final reconstructive procedure, is more to do with maintaining an acceptable quality-of-life after football, in the context of having enough strength & range-of-movement, and the confidence to participate in the basics with the kids (whether that be backyard footy or cricket)

You seem to know a lot about sports injuries. Are you active in that field or healthcare?

Gutted for Raylor. You can only imagine how he must be feeling right now.

Not an automatic starter by any means but he is a decent enough (utility) player to have in the squad. Capable on set pieces and did slot in decently enough last season at RB/LB/RM (a few hiccups here and there admittedly) and a good professional. Speedy recovery Ryan.

He was rubbish at full-back to be honest  I'm gutted for him and he was useful to have around the squad, yes.

Hence why I said he has had a few hiccups here and there - City away wasn't his finest hour. We didn't have many options at the time mind (plus Santon was only settling in...).

One very long hiccup.

Had some moments of absolute magic, though.

I do think we could had done with Raylor a few times this season at full back and in midfield actually.  Can't see him getting through a 3rd major knee injury, either he'll retire or he'll go to a lower level.

He seems like a sound lad so I'm gutted for him. I don't think you can be too harsh on performances where he was stuck on the left.

Two great goals for us, but yet to match the four he got in five games against us for Wigan.

If Colo's going and Simpson's off, does this mean we need two center halves and more cover at full back. That's not going to happen, is it?
