Something smells I tells ya. You mean the press pulling the biggest April fool in history? The events of the coming days will doubtless prove or disprove that theory. Could make sense... yep, something tells me that there’s something else going on, can’t see that Ashley & Co have seen the light and changed their whole ethos and somehow convinced Shearer to come on board and forget what they’ve done. Guest Mucky01 Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 in fairness to the buffoons at the club, they are having a press conference tomorrow where they will want to milk the whole Shearer circus in front of the media rather than put some half hearted post on their website that no one uses anyway. The PR overdrive will kick in tomorrow to get the club buzzing, but why it’s taken 2 days to call the press conference after it’s been leaked seems a bit of a wasted opportunity — although it will give all the mongs time to pitch outside St James’ Park.
