AyeDubbleYoo
Best for everyone if he moves on, I don't dislike the guy as much as some people but he's not much use to us at this point.
toon25
Was a good servant for the club after the relegation season. But, frankly, he's no good to us anymore, especially not in the Premiership. Even as a sub or backup he doesn't offer any threat - much like Smith in respect of the fact that he's a wasted space on the bench.
Wilson
definitely time for him to move on, would thank him for his service in championship despite what he was going through...but as people are saying he offers us nothing now
Newcastle Fan
I quite like him, we got him on free and he did very well for us, been a pro throughout his time and the club and actually dosn't have a bad goal-scoring record with us. good luck to him what ever he decides. Same, he's a good pro and has contributed a decent amount, just now is the right time to move him on.
Guest Roger Kint
Dunno why we're even offering him a new contract. We're not. That's kind of the point. Read the article The article doesnt say that he has been offered one though. Says Pardew would like him to sign 'but i cant wait for that' suggesting it may only be a short term deal offered at the end of the season. Good bloke, good servant getting us back up and at times last season but we need better players. Wish him all the best, hopefully will get a decent upper Championship team or something. Pilko
I can see the logic in keeping him on for another year as backup, but I'd rather we allowed him to leave and gave a long-term contract to Sammy, as well as factoring in the apparent signing of Maiga. Ronaldo
Think it's time he was sacked off personally.
Lenny
OK, let me re-phrase - I'm surprised there's any indication on our behalf that we would like him to offer him a new contract or extend it. Better, pedants?
Ryan
Never disliked the guy as I've always thought he gives 100% whenever he plays. Just think sometimes he becomes anonymous in games and I really can't see him getting into the first team with the form Ba and Best are in, especially with HBA coming back as well. One thing I've always liked about him though is that he always acknowledges the fans. Every away game I've been to he's always came over to the away fans and acknowledged there support. Barton used to do this all the time as well. Might just be me being petty but one of my football pet hates is when players don't acknowledge supporters after the game/when coming of
Cajun
Good lad, actually had a dream about him scoring a few last night but time to go. As much as I love the guy we shouldn't have offered Shola a new contract so definitely not Loven. Would prefer us to sign a forward in January then give the likes of Sammy/Vuckic a chance next season when required.
Yorkie
Good servant, time to move on.
ponsaelius
Why the hell would we offer him a new deal?
Dokko
If the club could offload Lovenkrands, Harper & Smith in the jan window for nothing the club will have improved immensely. He did his bit just like Harper, but it's time to move on for everyone's sake. Smith is a cunt.
Kanj
Don't mind either way if we keep or rid him. If he stays, he should be very low in the pecking order for strikers - but will say he takes 1 hell of a penalty and will always respect his dedication to us in the championship season. Will always respect the man.
Skirge
Good lick to him been nothing but a model pro for us.
Dan Gleebals
We should be saying thanks for everything and saying goodbye on this one. No way should he be offered an extension, much like we should not have offered shola one. Time to move on and bring in better players.
mosstef
He scored 13 goals in the Magpies’ Championship success, and has 28 in all for the club in 54 starts and 24 substitute appearances. The problem with him is that he doesn't really contribute with much else. Even though I'm a Dane myself, I wouldn't complain at all if we got rid. Ryan_Taylor
Outstanding contribution in the CCC and at least he's said he want to move because he knows he wont get many games. A foreign concept for some, eh Alan?
thewellander
He's such a classy player and helped us out when we were in the Championship. I'll never forget when he scored the goal when his dad died. One of the most emotional moments I've experienced as a Newcastle fan. Also, I have to respect his decision to move for more playing time. I hope he gets what he wants. All the best to him.
gbandit
I like him, his accent's quality and he's obviously a good guy. If you look at his stats, they're not bad at all. If you look at his performances they are. He's got a very good footballing brain and has made a lot of his limited talent, when he goes I'll be happy to have called him a Newcastle player, while he's still here I'm not happy to call him a newcastle player
Ronaldo
Outstanding contribution in the CCC and at least he's said he want to move because he knows he wont get many games. James
we won't find a better experienced fifth choice striker for the wage and fee we pay. So it is a choice between him and a kid or just buying a top class striker and putting the other strikers down the order.
SEMTEX
Did fine as a free, but isn't a particularly worthwhile squad member right now, and will only get worse. No new contract from me.
