Spain and Barcelona are the Anti-Stoke. Yet they have a similarity, in that they only have one dimension to their play. Stoke can only bully their way to goals, and Spain/Barcelona can only pass their way in. This based on a very small amount of viewing mind. Obviously Spain/Barcelona are f***ing immense though.

The difference is that Spain and Barcelona's 'one dimensional' play has won the World Cup, European Championship, Champions League (x2) and other trophies in recent years.

totally agree.

While there's no point making too much of it, it's arguably more pathetic to do it down. Fair play to England, they neutralized and defeated a side that everyone thought would demolish them, friendly or not - Spain were more or less full strength while England was nearly a second string!

I don't mind Capello. Never have. Think he's done a cracking job tonight. This is the England I like to see, regardless of the quality of football. It's similar to Newcastle - in that peoples give it 100% and put bodies on the line. We may not win owt, but we wont lie down and take defeat.

Aye well played lads. Capello has confirmed he isn't fully mentally disabled yet. Actually pretty chuffed!

Anyone who thinks Capello is a poor manager is though.

Credit where it's due really. Capello's tactics worked tonight and it was a good, hard-working performance from the England players tonight.

Now, let's not get carried away, it was only a friendly but to beat Spain, after England's recent performances, is really commendable. Well done
