I would have said last season that the blame percentages would be shared out roughly as this:

Ashley 30%

Wise 15%

Keegan 15%

Players 20%

Hughton 5%

Kinnear 5%

Shearer 5%

Officials 5%

Wise had no impact on this, his presence may have but he didn't offer himself the job and it wouldnt have mattered whether it was him  or Gianfranco Zola as DOF.

Wise and Keegan are equally to blame - they both knew what Ashley wanted to do (no matter whether we think it was a good or bad system) and it could have worked - but they were both interested in squabbling over who was in charge of who opposed to working together.

People will tell me Wise is a pain in the arse to work with, but Keegan is too seemingly, the man threw his toys out of the pram in the past and he did it again. Ashley is more to blame for appointing the pair of them, but what they did heavily contributed to our downfall also.

Hughton is on SSN saying we'll be ready for the 8th and not too concerned about the loss. He's making it very clear he's been abandoned and has no contact with anyone above him at all. I guess nothing we already didn't know.

Again, no-one on here really knows how good Hughton is at his ACTUAL job!

Stick Shearer in goal and I am fairly certain he wouldn't be quite as good a player as he was.

People were saying the same about Terry Mac, its all gone to cock since he left, tbh.

Hillarious. Just when I think this set of wankstains couldn't get any lower this happens. Just put the squad to sleep with a bolt gun and start again. The fucking tea lady could do better than half of these pricks.

Get Shearer in ffs and let's go Year Zero!

Absolutely shocking performance. Nolan and Smith are the worst offenders, they were fucking piss poor. Nolan LITERALLY gave the ball away about 70% of the time he had. Smith looked slow, totally without any technical ability and disinterested.

Jonas was fucking dire as well, still can't cross, still runs down blind alleys and still can't kick the ball harder than a 12 year old, Lua Lua totally outshone him. The defence wasn't actually too bad in open play. But dealing with set pieces was hilarious, every single time without fail an Orient player won the header. For one of the goals in the second half a guy had a totally free header at the back post and headed it back down to a guy on the 6 yard box who poked it in, not one Newcastle anywhere near.

Another observation, the amount of blaming teammates for their own mistakes going on is ridiculous, Beye, Duff and Nolan the main culprits. They all just looked fucked off and seemed to allow it to show in their performance, not saying they were playing to lose but the majority were playing at about 60% imo.

Lua Lua and Xisco came on and looked good, Lua Lua in particular did what Damien Duff hasn't done in years and beat a man put in a dangerous low cross, which should have been converted. Xisco had some nice touches and hit a scorcher from about 25 yards which hit the underside of the bar, great effort.

All in all, fucking wank, can't wait to see the back of these cunts who clearly don't want to play for us. To top it off the atmosphere was shit and nearly everyone sat down.

They did score an unbelievable goal though, some guy chested it from a cross into the air, half turned and bicycle kicked it into the corner from the edge of the box, brilliant goal.

What a waste of life.

Play like that against West Brom (and I see no signs that anything will change until then) with a team of pissed off, disinterested players and we'll lose on a similar scale.

I'd agree with most but not all. For sure, the biggest problem was that we failed to win a single header from a set piece at either end all game. At the back, neither Colo nor Taylor are leaders / organisers, Enrique looks like a frightened rabbit, and Beye seemed to spend his energy complaining. They were gifted some very soft goals.

Carroll showed plenty of determination, and looks like he can do something at this level. Xisco showed the odd flourish but otherwise didn't look like he knew where he was.

Lua Lua I'd agree looked ready for his chance. He was a bit greedy but I suppose he's having to prove himself every time he gets the ball.

But overall we have to hope that the managerial situation is sorted out quick. A big problem at the moment is the players aren't playing for their places because no-one has to worry what Hughton thinks.

Wise was appointed a month after Keegan, how the hell could Keegan know what Ashley's 'plan' was?

Guest Walking in a waddle wonde

Anyone have a clue on our attendance? or the games in general? .com are saying it was 3,615 but if that was the case about 2,500 was us. Not that it got us anywhere, as has been said was a pretty shit showing all round, one half of the stand was singing with the other half pretty much asleep. Weren't helped by the shit on show though. We need to get rid of this transfer embargo bollox. Wether its because were sold or because Cashley gives up trying too we need something to happen and fast.

You know things were bad if Xisco was a highlight, saying that like, its not as if he's had his chances to prove himself, so fair play to the lad.

Flip that around and you could also say (despite the relative lack of ability for the various managers), a succession of them have consciously decided to not play him. Surely suggests he isn't that good, doesn't try in training, or has actually just been injured, injuries I can't really remember atm.
