Back in 2006 I once served Tim Krul while I worked at the the Odeon in the gate, he was going to see Jet Li's 'Fearless'. I said "HEY, you're Tim Krul!" and he smiled and said "Yeah, I am" I like to think I played a huge part in his career at Newcastle United, as a few months later he'd go on to make his debut in the UEFA cup.

2005 my old man took me to work with him and I was reading the Sun planning my dream team. Turned to the next page and seen a competition to meet Shearer and have a days training in Newcastle. About a week or two later I had a phone call saying I won.. was over the moon as a 14 year old kid. Few Toon youth players turned up which included Krul. I’m a terrible footballer, but turned it on to fuck that day and scored an absolute pinger of a free kick against him to the applause of Shearer and a few others? my old man has still got it on VHS somewhere!
