Tim Krul (now playing for Luton Town)

If it's a long term injury this is pretty terrible news. Haven't seen a lot of Elliot but would prefer Harper to play in Krul's stead.

Agree. Harper didn't look to good during pre season but I guess a few games would bet him back to some kind of sharpness, whilst Elliot just looked shakey everytime he played.

Was just such a baffling signing. A crap not particular young keeper from League 1. It's as if he just entered a competition and won.

Be amazed if he didn't come on Woodmans recommendation for a cheap keeper who'd be happy being back up since the worked together at Charlton. Plus it allowed to bin off Forster (or Harper if needed be)

He'll be on pennies like. I'd be surprised if he earns 1k a week.

Just seen this. Have to say, I'm sick of this season already. Five games in and we look largely unfit and worryingly disinterested (HBA aside), not having turned in a single good performance. That's considering we've played three games against highly mediocre opposition. We diced with danger with a pathetic transfer window and it's not even mid September and we've had injuries to Krul, Colo, Simpson, Perch and Raylor. Fat Mike getting exactly what he deserves. Hope everyone enjoys the Euro trips this year because it'll be our last chance for a while.

If we get bummed at Everton, which I think we will, there will be more than a few questions to answer.

Mediocre? Our first opponent qualified for the Champions League by all rights, and our second won the Champions League and then invested 100 million or so pounds to a squad that was already talented. Villa aren't a great side, yeah, and that is match we should be winning, but they put up a credible performances under pressure from all sides, and we never got started. If most people had gotten the transfer window they desired, we would have exchanged Simpson for someone of higher quality and brought in a striker/wing forward. The injury problems are just unfortunate, and would have always affected us badly.

This Everton that are meant to "bum" us lost to West Bromwich in their last match, which is essentially equivalent to our result as it was away.

How bad can an elbow injury be, like? If its any more than a few weeks than this season is rapidly turning into a disaster.

Someone elsewhere says he's dislocated it.
