Steve Harper rejoins NUFC as Academy coach

Recommended Posts

Gonna be the bairns first match, thought this would be a nice way to break him in, good party atmosphere plus he gets to see Alan shearer who's 'a legend, and got him in double and in gold so he must be good'

Trying to big up maldini, tino etc to him, teach him how important the Milan side were to the game.

Spoke to someone on the testimonial onight about the testimonial and can clear up a few things.

- The booking fee is going solely to charity.  It was Steve Harpers committee's decision to charge the fee.  Newcastle United and the Box Office have nothing to do with the game, they are simply hosting and providing facilities.  The organisation is being carried out for free by the Newcastle United Foundation, separate from the club

- The sales are online only because the Box Office is too busy with PL games.  There are only 8 Box Office staff.  They are hoping to open up the sales from the Box Office two weeks before  the game but it is dependent on how busy the club is with its own tickets.

- At the moment there are no plans to open Level 7 or some of the bars unless there's a big increase in sales.
