At the fulham game, end of last season, this tosser didn't even come in on the team bus. Saw him drive in with his missus and entourage. Such a c***.

Why on earth do they get a team bus to home games? And they wonder why we're losing money

What's next? Flying to the Boro game?

it would of been from hotel, many manager's prefer to put players in hotel before game to that they are prepared properly

liverpool built their own at their training ground

Was really happy when I heard, but feel a bit bad now. Glad he's not going to WC, definitely.

But I wonder how much of my resentment for him is his fault. I think it's mainly down to the fact he got a deal at ManU when he was part of our relegation team, but that's not his 'fault' - you'd expect him to take it.

It was his fault he didn't want to be here and failed to score any goals when it mattered. I really don't give a fuck if he got a good deal at Man U as I know it will end in failure and said so when he signed.

The fact we went down due to him not scoring second half of last season shows how crucial he was to us.

I'm not having that like. For most of the games in the run in if we'd had A.N Other player in the team instead of him we might have been slightly more effective than playing what at times was like with 10 men.

That wasn't a dip of a rod either - just seems it's been a while now. Found it quite sad for this thread to be updated whenever anything at all happened to him. I can entirely see why he comes across as a huge twat, but still.

Everton will being jeering at Rooney his whole career. Some wounds run deep. The immediate anger should go away soon though. He'll just become another player who gets abuse when he plays at SJP.

I'd expect better from you. How much time do you spend on this forum like?

The vitriolic hatred he gets from this corner of the footballing world is totally justified if you ask me. Rich, gutless little scrotum.

I think it's good to have that kind of villain, someone to jeer at. Lends a bit of a pantomime aspect to things.

I've been one of the long-standing critics of his ability as a player, but I don't share all this anger. It was other people's decisions to pay £17 million for him, give him a £100K pw salary, pick him regularly for the side and make him the captain. He didn't deliberately get himself injured, and he didn't wish his decline as an athlete on himself.

Cronky, that's all true but he is the one who clearly didn't give a fuck during his final season and despite being our captain didn't even feel it necessary to say anything about our relegation.

He was in decline as a player, and even at his peak, was never the sort that could lift a bad side. He's a specialist finisher who needs other players to create things for him. He doesn't create much for his team-mates.

I daresay his morale was low last season, and he was looking to leave at the end of his contract. In those circumstances, he's not going to be able to lift his team-mates. But all this was the inevitable end when Shepherd bulldozed through his signing when Owen had made it clear that he wanted to join Liverpool instead. I don't think the club behaved very well at that point, and I have the feeling that NUFC got what it deserved at the end. That underpins my reluctance to have a go at Owen.
