Mr. Snrub
Cliche posting in this thread every time we win/lose but his decisions today were a fucking joke and they've cost us, no point in saying otherwise.
Dokko
They cost us in the Blackpool game and we won in spite of him at Chelsea. He's a liability.
Weezertron
Shit subs. This isn't in hindsight either, I knew they were shit at the time.

Dave
Very strange substitutions today. Ben Arfa wasn't having much impact at that time but it was clear the game would open up. Tiote was playing really well and okay it was a striker for a defensive midfielder but I can't see the benefit of taking someone off who's doing the business, and against a team like this. Hate to say it but Nolan should have been the one to give way, in both instances.

maze
Hughton, got two words for you: Fuck off !!!!
David28
Don't think Hughton has done much wrong today. Ben Arfa didn't do too well today while Jonas looked very good after coming on. Shola for Tiote was a good move as well considering it was 2-1 that time.
Weezertron
I'm saying this as a friend right, Hughton. If you can't see Hatem in the hole and Jonas on the left is the answer then you're a proper mug.
Dr. Nguyen Van Falk
Awful subs.
Minhosa
Fucking criminal subs again. Taking Tiote off was fucking ludicrous. Clearly doesn't have the bollocks to drop that useless scouse streak of piss.

S.S.R.
I'm not their greatest fans, but what's the point in Ameobi and Raylor putting in decent performances in league cup games?
IceMag
His subs cost us today and will again if he doesn't learn from his mistakes. And in this league we just can't afford that.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Bad day today. His team talk must have been poor for the way we played the 2nd half, bad substitutions- I thought he learnt this after the B'Pool game
oldtype
Taking Tiote off instead of Nolan was terrible, terrible, terrible. Hope he learns, and I hope this wasn't evidence of the "player power" accusations that people have been throwing his way for a while now.

Decky
Apparently Carroll was knackered towards the end. I just dont understand how Nolan or Carroll doesnt come off for Shola. Tiote off was completely and utterly bizarre.

Wouldn't have taken Tiote off against a big side like Stoke, his pace, power and def cover is really important anyway and more so against a big physical side. Might be worth trying Guti on the right next time as Routledge is so wasteful on posession.
hakka
Tossed this game away. Step forward then a step back he's been. Will be really interested to hear why on earth he took off Ben Arfa, crazy decision. He shouldn't have taken Ben Arfa off, but I didn't mind Jonas coming on for him. What more got me is Nolan staying on and Tiote coming off. That was the disgraceful one.
CaliMag
Hughton was let down by the team today - it wasn't his tactics or subs which he got right with the players we have. Ben Arfa wasn't as good today as he was vs Everton ... neither was Tiote. When we were still drawing 1-1 he went for it rather than try to hold onto a draw. Statistically this was the right call. We played better than Stoke overall and in 2 out of three games we would have won this at 1-1 with the subs he made pushing forward. If you can win 2 of these types of games and lose one you're still doing the right thing. Toward the end he was even telling Colocini to run up playing a 3-4-3. Skeletor
Just never seems to make the right substitutions. Ben Arfa coming off threw away the game.
