Ronaldo
Got it all wrong. The tactics were fucking abject.
chicago_shearer
Hughton's subs cost us the game. Ben Arfa would have leapt at least 3 feet in the air, marked Jones on their first goal and then cleared Perch's own goal off the line. Fact.
Andy
You lot boil my piss at times like. One week the guy's a fucking messiah, the next week he should be sacked. Have a word.
Tachikoma
Hughton's letting himself down with his loyalty to Nolan. This. In a world where Kevin Nolan isn't captain, he would have come on instead of Shola for Tiote, fresh and ready to pounce instead of being completely knackered. JH
We had a good first half, but we let it slip away in the second. The team played poor, but I can't look past his substitutions again. Very strange again.

Robster
HBA didn't do that much really, He kept possession.

oldtype
Like I mentioned in the match thread, there's no overall gameplan that the entire team adheres to. He just allows each individual player play to their strengths, which works sometimes, but overall makes the team look terribly disorganized. Stoke is an extreme case, but Hughton needs to decide what our defining shape is and have players adapt their styles to it to a degree. We had far superior players today but they weren't working as a unit.

Who's calling for him to be sacked? People calling him a messiah are retards tbf, there are plenty on here. Some people have been constant in their views of him though, they saw his weaknesses and raised their concern.
Colocho
Hughton was let down by the team today - it wasn't his tactics or subs which he got right with the players we have. Ben Arfa wasn't as good today as he was vs Everton ... neither was Tiote. Irrelevant. Neither of them should have been taken off. Routledge has nothing, apart from pace. Gutierrez should have played on the right, Ben Arfa should have stayed on, with Nolan coming off for Shola.

There's nothing wrong with questioning his decisions though, especially if we lose from a winning position. Were his decisions that poor? Jonas looked lively when he came on, and Ben Arfa looked like he was blowing out of his arse when he was jogging off the pitch - the lad's nowhere near fully fit. Neither of the changes shaped the outcome of the match as significantly as is being made out... It was Pulis's changes that won the match, not Hughton's that lost it. Weezertron
Don't think anyone has said he should be sacked tbh. Well except that one guy who told him to f*** off. You can discuss Hughton's performance as you would with any player, imo.

People will deservedly praise him when he gets his decisions right and question them when he get's them wrong. It what happens in all walks of life tbh. Gallowgate Toon
HBA may not have done much but he's the one player who can create a situation out of nothing. We're not a particularly creative or potent side, so why take off one of our best chances to grab a goal? He took him off with half an hour to go with only a 1-0 lead, that is madness! As others have said the game would have opened up, there was plenty of time for him to make his mark.

Zero
The subs are "debatable". I am fxxking upset by his half-time work instead. The team obviously got it mentally all wrong. It's like inviting and waiting for Stokes to equalise.
TRC
I thought taking Ben Arfa off was a good idea, Jonas is decent defensively and can take pressure off the team when he carrys the ball. This is Ben Arfas 3rd game in English football. Stoke were coming back into it and we needed balance.
Wullie
I really like the guy but he got it badly wrong today. I wasn't happy with HBA going off but withdrawing Tiote was insane.
M4
Reminiscent of early last season when we were winning in spite of him with the same sort of decision making. This League is more punishing.
colinmk
Although I think Nolan is a very poor player overall, you can easily argue that he offers more a of a goal threat than Ben Arfa.
Pilko
The subbing of Ben Arfa was a shit decision.

I'm consistent, I said last week against Everton that he is poor with his subs (should have taken Nolan off when Everton was pummeling us in the 2nd half). Same case again today with his bizzare subs.

This is Ben Arfas 3rd game in English football. Stoke were coming back into it and we needed balance. Then take Routledge off, who was useless today. Tiote is more than decent defensively, didn't stop him from coming off. Nolan is untouchable, we don't know just how influential he is behind the scenes, but as usual he was fucking dire today. He is the player that should have been taken off.
