Klaus
Similar to the way people saw Perch when he was here. Deemed as being shit in his first season or two by the majority (myself included), but has improved massively and is appreciated for his professionalism and attitude. Pata
Handled most of the aerial threat by himself and even had the guts to make that bold defensive clearance at the end. Great game by his standards Couldn't win a header for 60minutes ffs. The last minutes salvaged his performance.
Wullie
Toss up between him and Shola for MOTM. Proper bizarro world.
Mr. Snrub
Toss up between him and Shola for MOTM. Proper bizarro world. Not a chance mate. Tiote, Cabaye and Santon were far better than Williamson.

Deemed as being shit in his first season or two by the majority (myself included), but has improved massively and is appreciated for his professionalism and attitude. Have to disagree. Very good in the championship. Good in his first 2 years in the prem. Tragically bad last season to the point where his manager simply referred to him as "the other guy" . Now he's sort of back to how he was in the 5th placed season.

Big Geordie
Done very well since he came back into the side - proved a lot of people (including me) wrong. Keep it up!
bealios
Our seasons seem to be defined by how well the supposed fringe players perform. 2011 - 2012 it was Perch and Taylor, this year it's looking like Shola and Willo

Such a simple thing but it wouldn't happen with someone like Cisse playing.

ujpest doza
Immense today. A very good talker and shouter too. In first half when Long got the better of Colo Williamson was telling him in no uncertain terms afterwards to get close to him and get him hit. Ronaldo
Immense today. A very good talker and shouter too. In first half when Long got the better of Colo Williamson was telling him in no uncertain terms afterwards to get close to him and get him hit. That's what I mean, Williamson's got massive faults as a defender and a footballer but he's absolutely bullies the rest of the defenders if he thinks they're not doing their job, and it helps. We defended well at the start of that season but ended up conceding more goals than all but one top 10 team and 5 more than the Mackems. Williamson played a part in that - he was particularly abject at Fulham and Spurs. Huge credit to him for recent form, and there's no doubting his attitude. But he's a player who when the wheels cone off, they FLY off.
The College Dropout
We took some tonkings but overall we where a very solid team. That's how any good Pardew team will be. Solid at the back, relying on moments of magic up top.

Ally
Despite all the foreign competition there is something nice about a good old English centre half who cost us peanuts doing really well. He's been a good player for the club, as noted he's has some apocalyptic performances but so have most of our team. He's playing with confidence and only getting better. Plus, it means Steven Taylor is no where near the first XI
