ponsaelius
Love how one win against a poor side and suddenly they're all cocky again.
Revolution Number 9
On paper they are probably one of the poorest sides in the league. They have had an easy start to the season, but fair dues to them, they've luckily scraped together the results needed to be where they are now. Make no mistake, we are by far the better side and will finish well above them. wormy
They'd genuinely have to go a whole season without a win and we'd have to keep the undefeated streak going all season before the majority decided it isn't luck, wouldn't they? Fuck me, one win!

The Prophet
Chelsea aside their start to the season hasn't exactly been outragously difficult. It's only an 'easy' start if you make it one, we've fully taken our oppertunity.
midds
Did this a while ago and have just totted up the placings on last years league ladder again for the 9 games: Us: Arsenal 4th Spurs 5th Fulham 8th Villa 9th Sunderland 10th Blackburn 15th Wigan 16th Wolves 17th QPR 21st Total placings 105 W5 D4 L0 Sunderland: Chelsea 2nd Arsenal 4th Liverpool 6th WBA 11th Newcastle 12th Stoke 13th Bolton 14th Norwich 22nd Swansea 23rd Total placings 107 W2 D3 L4 Very similar obviously but technically Sunderland have had the slightly easier fixtures. Certainly not enough to moan at and come out with shite like "they've not played anyone yet", "easy start". We've beaten the shite and grabbed points here and there. Neil
jukeboxromeo: Relegation a realistic prospect? You've had a shit hand with the fixtures, but that's now home defeats to Norwich and Sunderland and doesn't sound like you played well at all in either. gazza ladra
Not sure that's quite right. Using the same system with the current table tells a slightly different story. Of course, at this point in the season the table is highly volatile. Winning or losing to a club can bump them down or up the table; we've created (to some extent) our "easy" schedule and Sunderland their difficult one. Us: Arsenal 7th Spurs 5th Fulham 17th Villa 11th Sunderland 14th Blackburn 20th Wigan 19th Wolves 17th QPR 10th Total placings 120 W5 D4 L0 Sunderland: Chelsea 3rd Arsenal 7th Liverpool 5th WBA 12th Newcastle 4th Stoke 9th Bolton 18th Norwich 8th Swansea 15th Total placings 81 W2 D3 L4 I don't think that using last season's standings accurately reflect the difficulty of the fixtures. Newly promoted clubs are not the easiest of fixtures. They're notoriously difficult. Using your method a promoted club scores at 21 (at best)-- Norwich, QPR, and Swansea are playing better (right now) than Bolton, Wigan, or Blackburn. To pretend otherwise is ludicrous. Guest barnabox
ROBIN VAN PERSIE Forward Arsenal It's not very often I pick someone who came on as a substitute in my team of the week. However Robin van Persie's contribution in just 23 minutes was sufficient to put Stoke to the sword and me in awe. He did it last week against Newcastle but he did it in record time this week. Did you know? Van Persie has scored more than half (25/48) of Arsenal's Premier League goals in 2011. It's as if he can't even bring himself to name Sunderland
