Newcastle United 2 - 0 Nott'm Forest - 29/03/10 - post match reaction from p15

Little word for Routledge, thought he was very good tonight. Exactly sort of signing we need - players with something to prove and a bit of talent.

He's so fucking effective. He doesn't have the ball half as much as Jonas, but his vision is cracking and he knows how to deliver a ball. When he stole the ball out on the wing by outmuscling their player and his cross that landed on Nolan was fantastic, as was his cross in the first half for Carrolls volley chance - he could easily have ended up with another two assists tonight. Superb signing, hope he can keep this class up in the premiership.

What did Davies say?

interviewer waffled on asking him about the playoffs and davies just goes "first off, let me just congratulate chris and his side for a great season and best of luck in the premiership" etc

Good to hear, it was a tremednous battle between two really committed teams.

SKY SPORTS TEAM TONIGHT:

Dave Jones = Mackem fan

Don Goodman = Mackem player

Peter Beagrie = From the Boro

Trev Francis = Lifetime Toon hater

f*** THE LOT OF THEM!!!!

Billy Davies opening words excellent

To be fair to Mackem Goodman he was drooling over Jose way before he scored - player of the season, so fairly play to him, even if he is a dirty unwashed so and so.

Beagrie is a good pundit as well, he's been championing Jose for ages now.

Aye but he should allowed to speak via the art of sign language through an interpreter. Horrible, horrible voice.

Fair play to Davies for those comments. Forest played very well on the night as well, wish them nothing but good luck in the play offs. Saying that, in a way I don't want them to go up so we can sign Perch

What did Davies say?

Said he wanted to pass on his congrats to the players, coaching staff and fans at NUFC for their efforts this season and that we were worthy winners. Fair Play.

Aye, it's not often he comes out and says something like that.

Few points

The defence is a right back from being stable

Routledge was iffy but finished strong

Nolan again just offers so little

What game were you watching? Nolan had one of his best games tonight.

Well done Newcastle United, think you have dealt very well with the season as a whole, you are top on merit, just have to finish the job ourselves now then we can come on a visit to you next season. :clap2:

I haven't felt this proud of a Newcastle team since Keegan's side murdered Spurs. Everyone was sensational, even the lads like Gutierrez who had a frustrating night going forward made up for it by running his heart out for the team. Absolutely overjoyed right now.
