I was at the game on Sunday and the guy who has sat in front of me for the past three seaons mentioned that he knows a football agent and we have been trying to negotiate with Spurs to get Keane on a season long loan. I thought nothing of it but maybe there is something in this. Probably isn't like but it's nice to dream.

Pardon my ignorance, if we sign HBA on loan - can we still sign Boyata & Keane?

Oh and does Boyata speak french? (not that anyone will know this, but could help with HBA)

Think its two domestic loans.

Can get more from abroad.

Keane would be great, can't really see how Boyata would get enough games to warrant the loan, unless he can play RB. Wont get in ahead of Campbell, Willow, Colo or Tayls if he is still here.

correct no limit on foreign loans i believe (excepting home grown squad rules etc)

with Spurs now qualifed for the CL and doubts over Defoe's fitness with his ongoing groin injury why would they let one of there strikers go??  Only leaves them Crouch and Pavlychenko.  They will want 4 strikers.

i know they were keen on Bellamy but i can't think of any strikers currently available who they would buy though.

Keane never seems to fulfil the hopes of the various clubs that have bought him. I think he's the kind of specialist finisher that's out of fashion at the top level in the modern game.

Assuming we get Ben Arfa, I'd envisage him linking with Carroll as a withdrawn striker. That's the style we need to be looking at.

Keane is easily better than any of our strikers, madness not to take him.  Still only 30 aswell.

So you'd do a staright swap with spurs Carroll and Keane?

Obviously not as Carroll is still only 21 and will keep getting better, but at this moment in time Robbie Keane is a better Premier League striker.

Hughton said before the Tiote deal there might be 2-3 more signings, so I would guess that leaves a striker and defender to come in. If Ben Arfa comes then there will be a defender to follow. All these names like Santa Cruz, Caceida, Miller and Keane are just speculation....we're not going to sign them all are we?

I don't believe Caceido really offers anything more than what we have. Rather give Ranger a crack tbh.

If we are bringing in another striker they either have to be significantly better than what we have or be able to effectively cover another position ie Right Wing.

Keane would actually be great addition to our squad, not that he would start every game but he's so much better than Shola, Loven and Best. And if Carroll get's injured and we have to put Shola up front, we're fucked.

Keane, Arfa, and Tiote and the 12th place is ours..
