Signed Solano, Speed & Dabizas; guided us to a 2nd place finish in his first half season; got us to an FA Cup final; 3-2 win versus Barcelona. Guest firetotheworks Posted January 14, 2012 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Hindsight is obviously a wonderful thing, but despite Dalglish bringing in Solano, Given, Speed, Dabizas and being unlucky with the injury of Shearer and the form of Tomasson, he also failed to get the best out of Ginola, and from what Beresford has said, properly messed him around. Only the Latin Racist is worth the money as he is class. To think if we keep picking up players like tiote, santon, cabaye etc for next few years we will probably be better for a fraction of the price. 35mil for Carroll or free for BA ? 16 mil for henderson or 5 mil for cabaye. We've both played well sometimes, conversely we've both played poorly sometimes. On this occasion I'd say the table is pretty damn accurate. We are the same level currently. In all I hated him for dismantling a brilliant team instead of augmenting it. yep end result was turning us from one of the finest teams to ever grace the premiership into an uninspired, turgid team of mid-table nobodies. there were factors not in his favour and he did bring in a couple of decent players (along with some real shite) but he was a bit of a disaster overall.
