biggs
If you choose a Norwegian team I can possibly hook you guys up with ways to actually watch them play, plus, they play in the summer when nothing else is on. The Norwegian birds are nice too maybe we could go over on the ferry and you could organise a jolly up with loads of chicks @ a party laid on for us but no blokes but us

Spider Jerusalem
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a2/Xamax_Neuch%C3%A2tel.png May be a bit too successful to be adopted by us. And another vote for these.... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/dd/Cd_wanka.png Just cos they have the best name of any team, and best name is the scientifically proven way of picking your Grand National horsey so why won't it work here. Dr.Spaceman
I like the idea of it being one of the twinned cities.
clintdempsey
I like the idea of it being one of the twinned cities. Then it would be smart to either have the Norwegian or Swedish team as they play their football from spring to autumn. The Swedish Allsvenskan shows every single game on tv as well so it shouldn't be a problem to actually watch the games from time to time.
summerof69
Here are my picks of teams from different leagues Bilbao, Shalke, udinese, Sporting Lisbon, Montpellier, NEC Breda, Hearts, Standard Liege, CSKA Moscow, Malmo FF, Besiktas, AEK Athens, Toronto. MKSC
I'd go with a team from Scandanavia as well. Would give us all something to talk about in the close season. I'm happy to go with the majority decision. And I'd also agree with the policy of an N-O trip to support them at some point. This a damn good idea Maddy. TaylorJ_01
Yeah, good plan. I think 1 thread would be sufficient though, instead of match threads.
GeordieDazzler
Shalke is the really obvious choice as Gelsenkirchen is a twin city to Newcastle, they are decently big club and havent won the league for 50+ years
SEMTEX
Schalke rejected due to mistreatment of Peter.
