Good goal, like.

Aye, cracking goal.

Still we'll be seeing the Tiote and Nolan clips as we did then for ages :) Love football, great season, roll on next year.

Interesting that despite everything that went on this season, with the final day and how amazingly close it was, 40pts was enough to survive yet again.

Aye. People tend to forget that shit teams lose loads and loads of games.

Hope Stevie G's keeping an eye on his wallet. They can't resist in a crowd like that, man.

Liverpool's away support these days seems to be 60 percent jester hat wearing Scandinavianss, 30 percent wide eyed Irish blokes who previously thought football only existed on television, and 5 percent people their home fans would call "wools", leaving just 5 percent to be proper Sergio Tacchini wearing scrotes.

I like it when all games KO at the same time, the season should be arranged so that everyone KO's at 3pm on a Saturday.

Personally, I enjoy being able to watch more than one live game per weekend.

Oh God.  I've quoted about 3 of your posts in the last day so it might feel like I'm picking on you but stop saying braindead shit ffs.

The whole point of the different kick-off times is that games are on telly, hence the extra money, etc, etc.  Sometimes I think you're taking the piss.

I do not fully grasp why every Premiership match is not broadcast in your country and throughout Europe anyway. If you have technology and willing payers, what is preventing you from showing them. The main effect is funds being shifted away from the league into the illegal black markets and pubs.

I'm guessing it's the whole "OMFG people will stop going to games if we broadcast them on TV!" paranoia.

I was completely incredulous too when I first found out that people in Newcastle needed to look for the same illegal streams I did to watch Newcastle games.

It's paranoia that is justified. Attendances would be damaged by all 3pm KOs being shown. The matchgoing culture in this country is already being diluted in favour of watching it on the telly, which is shit.

Is there any evidence for that? I'd think that people who were going to the matches would go anyway. It may even open things up to a wider audience because people who wouldn't be bothered would at least watch it on the telly.

We only started getting most of the matches regularly shown on TV this year over here, attendances have actually gone up. I appreciate that it's a different situation but I don't think the idea should just be dismissed off hand.

Tend to agree with oldtype here.

Don't think PL attendances are any worse on televised/midweek games. Don't think the introduction of all games on telly would damage things.

After all, you can't beat the atmosphere of being there.

There are other leagues despite the Premier League. I've probably been to getting on for a hundred Hartlepool games in my life, I probably wouldn't have gone to half of those if I'd been able to stay at home and watch NUFC. It's a lot harder to get kids to lower league football or their local sides if they can sit at home and watch the players on the front of their FIFA 11 box.

Televising 3pm kick offs would be an absolute disaster for the Football League and English football in general.
