LFEE
Does the cross at Villa count as his assist, if so that's 2 in 2. Saw 60 minutes worht of highlights on Football First, he was an absolute beast. Long may it continue Anyone know where I could find the 60min highlights?... Was away and the Sky+ app on the iPhone only let's you record the program without the match choice so always stuck with screen 1 when recording this way... Tiresias
United's players and staff swapped balls and boots for bullets and barricades on Tuesday, as they spent an afternoon paintballing. With seven new faces joining the St. James' Park ranks over the summer - who have all hit the ground running during the Club's unbeaten start to the 2011/12 campaign - it was the perfect opportunity for everyone to let their hair down and indulge in a spot of team bonding to boot. So Newcastle headed to Slaley Hall in the Northumberland countryside, where it was players against staff over the course of four games. From coaches and physios, to kit men and video analysts, they all donned the camouflage overalls and masks before heading into the woodland. And it was certainly an eventful afternoon for all involved. Be it the sight of goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman managing to fall over at the start of every game, or midfielder Cheik Tiote stocking up on enough paint grenades to satisfy an army, it is fair to say that everyone got fully immersed in the afternoon's activities. There was, however, rumours of some foul play going on behind enemy lines. Winger Gabriel Obertan chose to keep a safe distance from the action, yet still managed to get hit by a couple of body shots, while full-back Ryan Taylor found himself singled out and ambushed by three members of staff after the whistle was blown to finish one of the games. But it was Steven Taylor who deserves to be court-martialed for his underhand tactics. Insiders claim the defender was sniping against his teammates for his own entertainment, before turning the gun on the Club's official photographer Ian Horrocks and video reporter Rob Scanlon, who were both chronicling the afternoon. It was all in good spirits though and, for the record, the staff will be enjoying bragging rights around the Training Centre for the foreseeable future…

Lush Vlad
“On Tuesday we all went paint-balling up at Slaley Hall. All the players and coaching staff went, and for some of us it was a brand new experience. And it was a super day, too. Cheick (Tioté) was the star, he was great, but it was just one of those days that everyone enjoyed. AyeDubbleYoo
I don't think he used a gun, he stalked his prey and slammed one individual paintball onto them by hand.

madras
Tiote wouldn't have ran. His foe would have blinked and he'd be there when their eyes opened and BANG by hand, paintball between the eyes. Also that pic of him with the helmets on a table next to him, I'll wager skulls are still inside them.

timeEd32
I wonder how long we can sustain this great team spirit. Two of the players and the manager credited with it are no longer here plus a host of new players were brought in and it seems to be just as strong. It would be incredible if we kept it going year after year.
