Puts the midfield that has us second bottom in his own formation. I know the point is that we need more signings, but it's still funny and daft. Put another way, they CAN NOT be worse than the current midfield, and at least there is a glimmer of hope that they will get better. He'll be immortalised for that goal and he played his part in some of the more positive memories from the last five years, but I'm not sad he's going. Sounds like it will be. McClaren was making a point of hugging Cheik after the substitution. Probably a goodbye gesture but really enjoyed watching him patrol the whole midfield area again like the old days.
