Disco
Howay then Hughton, stand up for the lads. Btw for a Mackem, Adam Johnson didn't hardly celebrate his goal and compare that to his celebration against the mackems last season. Newcastle fan IYAM. Sherlock me like. He said he supported Newcastle during the 2 years he was with us. His fav player was David Ginola. This info was in the Chron. WTF? From the age of 10 till 12. Then the NE best youth scout Peter Kirkley (Wallsend Boys Club President) took him to Boro. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/boro-fc/tm_headline=adam-johnson-&method=full&objectid=17787545&siteid=109975-name_page.html FFS! Carlito
I don't know what the hell Ronaldo is smoking, our tactics couldn't have been more spot on. We pressured high, defended well, controlled possession, nullified their midfield and should have won this match if the ref wasn't a corrupt c***. This. With a fair/capable ref we could have easily won that 2-1.

Fenham Mag
Krul - 7 Perch - 6 Williamson- 5 Coloccini - 7 Enrique-6 Barton- 6 Gutierrez-8 Tiote-7 Nolan- 4 HBA - Poor lad. Gutted. Shola- 5 Subs: Carroll - 5 Campbell- 7 Routledge-
LucaAltieri
Krul - 8 Looked really assured today. One moment in particular was a Man City break, they were two on one, the ball was squared and Krul stretched to turn it away from Tevez's path. But there were number of key touches he got today. Almost kept out the penalty too. Turning into a class little goal keeper. Perch - 7 Got caught out a couple of times but overall a soid performance. Coloccini - 7 (Campbell 7.5) Colo looked good today up until the injury. Once again, playing his way out of touble on a few occasions. Good passer of the ball, too. Campbell is a beast. Glad we have him to fall back on. Williamson - 6.5 Should have closed his legs for Johnson's goal. Otherwise generally had a reasonable game. That was never a penalty. Can't be blamed at all. Enrique - 8 Easily one of the best left backs in the league. Guti - 8 Well taken goal. Caused City all sorts of problems with his skill. Final ball still terrible but he looked dangerous and gave them plenty to think about. Barton - 4 Terrible passing today. Won the ball a couple of times... lost it more. Such a shame because he's played well recently. Tiote - 8 Won the ball well. Retained the ball well. Passed the ball well. Drove the play forward. Best signing of the summer. No doubt. Routledge - 5 Routledge is Routledge. Lacks skill, touch, and end product but is quick, lively, and hard working. Some times that will be enough and pay off, other times it won't. Today it didn't. Nolan - 6 Put pressure on the City defenders and midfield with his closing down. Offered nothing else today. Not good enough. Ameobi - 6 (Carroll - 5) Had a difficult task today playing up front on his own. Rarely saw the ball. Closed down well. Carroll didn't really have time to get into it. TooonDoom
Not even a foul given for a tackle that broke a leg. Penalty that wasn't Penalty that was but wasn't Tevez belts the ball away and does not bet booked. (would have seen red with the foul on the keeper) What looked to me like a punch to Tiote in the first half after he was dragged to the ground about a yard from the linesman. Pretty sick feeling. It is going to be a very tough season the way things are going.
BONTEMPI
I'd be tempted at home to start Shola and Carroll together, think they will worry quite a few. Krul Raylor Sol Williamson Enrique Tiote Routledge Jonas Barton Ameobi Carroll We need a good striker in Jan mind
ToonMonty
Just had an e-mail from a Man City supporting mate who was at the game fully admitting that we were robbed, he was amased at their pen been given and even more suprised that our's wasn't he didn't mention De Jong and I haven't seen the tackle so how bad was it? Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Hughton on ESPN: 'Upset' with the challenge and 'incredible' decisions against us. So much for unloading with a Wenger-esque rage. They show him footage of the fouls, and then calls the decisions 'horrendous' Goes on to mention other decisions against us from previous games. mattynufc
I thought Perch's performance today was massively improved, even if it was just when going forwards. Ameobi did little wrong. Overall a good performance from all, except the ref. I hate blaming refs, but there isn't anyone else that can really be blamed for us not getting a point. cp40
That wasn't poor refereeing- it was corrupt- he clearly had an agenda to favour City. didnt hesitate to give them an undeserved pen- Ignored a blatant one for us- that dosnt happen by accident. Yorkie
Hughton on ESPN: 'Upset' with the challenge and 'incredible' decisions against us. So much for unloading with a Wenger-esque rage. Nice guy. Hughton's never gonna go skitty on national TV. There'd be nowt to gain from it anyway, i'd rather he maintained his dignity - every man and his dog knows the decisions were absolutely ridiculous, he needn't inform anyone. The only thing to gain from coming out and lambasting a referee is a hefty fine. Brings the game into disripute doesn't it liiiiike.
Doctor Zaius
I too also hate blaming refs. However, today, the ref simply cost us the game. A draw was a fair result imo and if we'd had a competent ref, we wouldn't have came away with nothing. What a fucking spineless bottling bastard atkinson is like. LucaAltieri
Barton 4, and Routledge 5? Routledge was ineffective. Barton was a bit of a liability today Out wide when you're taking on players and trying to create something you will sometimes lose the ball. However, when you're playing central you need to retain posession. Barton failed miserably at that today. Don't even get me started on his crossing/corners/freekicks. Just awful.
