Elliottman
Cant imagine Taylor being to far away? Im sure CH said he was only a couple of weeks away - a couple of weeks ago?!
steve_69
N'Zogbia plays on the right for Wigan doesn't he? Or centrally If Martinez has any sense, and if he has watched re-runs of our last few games, he'll play him on the left against us. I reckon N'Zogbia would tear Perch a new hole
Stifler
At this point in time, I just can't see us winning.
broonalegeordie
I see us winning 5-0. Ranger on the right please. R.Taylor at right back. Wigan are fucking shit. And provided we dont get a fucking shit ref, we'll be 'reet.
La Parka
Is simpson back for this? I must admit, 4411 is a piece of shit with nolan playing. I'd like to see 442, with: Simp colo sol enrique Rout bart tiote jonas ......Carrol ranger.. I'm assuming lovenkrands has dropped in favour, and ranger offers more mobility than shola. Ryan_Taylor
We have to win this. Might as well give up no if not
Doug
Wigan will be fit and pacy, moving the ball slickly all over the pitch which is the first thing you have to match in this league. Sadly Shola showed last Sunday that despite a reasonable touch and strength, pace isnt ever going to be there against the top defenders. Rangers pace, and athletisism should be getting him game time now certainly ahead of Nolan up front who also patently cannot keep up with the pace of top flight football. ponsaelius
Carroll can give their defence a real going over if he plays like he can do. Him and Shola/Lovenkrands upfront, gotta have 2 strikers against their shambolic backline.
Guest
I've got a feeling he'll go with two up front...but with Jonas, Nolan, Tiote & Barton across the midfield.
binnsy
So are Simpson/Guthrie back in contention for this? Simpson played for 75 mins and Guthrie played the full game in todays reserve game and they now have another 2 weeks training and another reserve game, away at Blackpool on the 13th before we are due to play Wigan so as long as they don't suffer any setbacks i think they will be both in contention for the Wigan game. Geordie Ahmed
Nolan has to be dropped for this match - I do think 4-4-2 is probably the way to go BUT even a 4-5-1 might not be so bad as long as we have people in midfield that can actually run and move about
Guest north shields lad
This is te type of match we must win, i think its a home banker. We can not possibly batter yet another team at home and lose.
Guest
If Routledge is playing, he has no excuse not to tear Figueroa apart after his trip next week! For that reason alone it might even be worth putting Jonas on the right if he's playing. Flying to Australia then USA then back home in that time can't help him. Guest andrew
Krul Perch Sol Colo/Will Jose Raylor Barton Tiote Jonas Routledge Caroll I'd see what rout can do playing off carroll since we have no other decent striking options. Put Raylor wide right so he can put in some good deliveries-
BeloEmre
Routledge up front? I would like to see Lovenkrands get his chance now.
ponsaelius
Don't think Routledge off the front man is that much of a ridiculous idea, actually.
Darth Crooks
Don't think Routledge off the front man is that much of a ridiculous idea, actually. Certainly be more of a mobile threat than Slowlan. Has quite a shot on him

Guest neesy111
Must win game, simple as. Would prefer Nolan to be dropped for 2 men upfront with Guthrie coming back in for him, but know it's very unlikely to happen.
