Ronaldo
Their goalie has been great. So much better than Almunia and Fabianski. Why does it seem that goalkeeper always have their best games against us? Keepers are paid to catch the ball, mate.
Guest BooBoo
Please can we not have the usual outrage at this result. It was basically a second string v a very talented Arsenal side. Scoreline was a little harsh but we need now to regroup and focus on the weekend.
jdckelly
I hope this result doesn't add to these stupid "Sky spread Hughton under pressure" rumours of coarse it will they want a story to distract from liverpool being fucking shit and rooney not being the golden boy so reach for the old standby of newcastle about to sack a manager
Thespence
No surprise really.
broonalegeordie
Here's hoping that Mr Guthrie is nowhere near the starting 11 on Sunday, I thought he was very poor. The defending was terrible. Plus points i'd guess for me were Nile Rangers performance, and the attacking threat from our subs.
Guest Heneage
You have to laugh at Wengers claims of other teams being dirty and unsportsman like. if anything will come from tonight it will be 'Walcott's a legend' claims by every media outlet who can read a scoresheet. Cronky
Well we fought hard, but they were too good for us. Of the non-first teamers, Ranger and Vukcic did well. Despite that error for the first goal, Krul looks a good keeper. The back four looked a bit unco-ordinated. Normally, we play offside well, but the line was a bit ragged tonight. ikri
Can't say we didn't deserve to lose that, the defending was embarrassing throughout the game. But, the referee and his assistants were an absolute joke and really have no place officiating at this level.

Cajun
So fucking annoying that when something is there for the taking (the presumption Arsenal starts with pretty much their kids) we don't go for it. Especially when Hughton fucking plays Carroll, Jonas and Barton for pretty much an entire half as well, so much for "saving" them for the weekend. Fuck right off. So much more annoying than just losing when you know it could have been won if we'd not went with our reserves. Most of the Arsenal kids are better than our first team. JH
Hughton looked f***ing sad there He must have expected it when he picked the team.
Neil
Arsenal was playing 12 against 11... very bad ref again. Especially when he didn't see Perch clearly handball it in his own box. But it was poor pfficiating throughout. Slightly harsh scoreline but Arsenal looked in the mood, hence you stood little chance with the side you had out. Forget about it and move forward - to Sunday. KaKa
Did Carroll get injured on that last play? Or was he just cowering over like that because the shot was saved.
Gash
Brentford fans loved Szczesny when they had him last season, he does look ready and has told the media a few times he deserves his chance, i'd stick with Fabianski for a while though with Szczesny playing Carling Cup/FA Cup games. Ketsbaia
very weird score. theres certainly nothing to be disheartened by...we did alright. as far as 4-0s go, that was encouraging.
midds
Absolutely nothing wrong with Hughton's starting line-up today. He had the choice of going for it or playing the squad and he chose to give the Chelsea lads another run out - nothing wrong with that. He made some dodgy subs mind but it wouldn't have mattered in the end. There's no Goal Difference in the cup and the majority of the XI picked on Sunday won't have been affected by tonight's display. That could have been you in goal and it wouldn't have been your 'best game' - we barely tested him at all.

Scoreline was a little harsh but we need now to regroup and focus on the weekend. Three of the goals were harsh (OG, Guthrie mistake, blatant foul on Williamson) but I wouldn't have said the scoreline was harsh. Arsenal never left second gear. broonalegeordie
oh, and the score-line was harsh, but it was going to happen with us being so attack minded the last 20 mins or so. As soon as Arsenal got the ball, it was 4 attachers vs Perch, Willy, Kadar.
lovejoy
Didn't deserve 0-4. Makes no odds like. Let's move on to Sunday.

It'd not have ended 0-4 if say, Colo, Enrique, Jonas, Carroll, Tiote and Barton had started. I dare say we'd probably have won it against the players they started with if we'd gone for it.
