I can imagine Carver and Stone trying to blag their way into the executive suites at SJP next season in exactly the same way Hale and Pace try to get into The Ivy in the Extras Christmas special.

"We used to be called The Management"

Carver will just be hanging around the training ground like David Brent in the Office Christmas specials once he's been sacked

 VI seen his team win the treble, the coach and right back renew their contract and is like " nah f*** that let's read about Carver ".

It's class

Perfect week so far :)

VI has seen enough success that we'll never seen in our ENTIRE lifetimes.

VI also has seemingly become more of a fan of ours in the past 12 months, maybe even 6 months it seems. In our darkest and lowest hour.

Good news. Let's start acting like a proper club now.

Oh no, you've been duped by them again, when will people learn?!

Exactly. People going a bit ott here like. We've got rid of next seasons assistant manager. The club, it's goals and everything it stands for remains unchanged.

I get that, it's just a relief he is gone and the start we needed if we are to progress.

Obviously time will tell but Carver as Manager just drained me.

It's complete humiliation for Carver, after the way he was bigging himself up for the top job, even when we only just avoided relegation. Sad from that point of view, but the right decision. He made such a mess of the job and lost the confidence of the players, so there'd always be an atmosphere around him if he'd stayed on.

He and Stone have been treated as a job lot, indicating that McClaren has demanded to bring his own men in.

Carver wanted to be NUFC manager/head coach. Now he's not going to be let's see if he tries to get a manager job somewhere else (or was it just NUFC he wanted to manage).

First team coach Steve Stone will also leave as managing director Lee Charnley clears the decks for Steve McClaren’s arrival and punishes those responsible for hurling the club into an unexpected fight for survival.

Did Charnley punish himself too? He's the idiot who's decisions put us in the s***. I wonder if he also punished Mike Ashley for appointing him in the first place?

I wonder who made the calls this time?

NUFC operate the same 'dismissal' technique which The Joker used on his bank job at the start of 'The Dark Knight'.

also hope this comes off:

Both Carver and Stone leave with pay-offs but the goalkeeping coach, Andy Woodman, who also has five years left on his contract, has not been sacked. Pardew is believed to be keen on taking Woodman to Palace and Newcastle would be due compensation should that move materialise.

I think the sticking point with the "goalkeeping guru" is his son being contracted to us.

Is Woodman jr. really any good? Honest question.

He has represented England at youth level fwiw.

Given he's had his father's "coaching"  throughout his career and also given we decided to play a Alnwick who has since been released I doubt it.

He's the No.1 for whatever England youth teams he is at. So for his age you would have to say so.
