Turnbull2000
I'd love to be in the UEFA Cup again. Sadly, the Champs League obsession and UEFA destroyed the second tier of European competition. The Europa League is just an embarrassment and distraction. Not worth the bother IMO. Yorkie
I'm not saying we're definitely going to qualify for Europe, nor am i predicting that we will. I'm just saying it's far from unrealistic. A win against Bolton and i'll start to get a bit nervous!

SEMTEX
tbh I'd probably be happier to finish as high up as we can without Europe... hopefully Brum win Carling Cup, Crawley Win the FA Cup and we finish 6th. Though if we finish 4th-1st I'd probably accept it.

Yorkie
This squad would get arseraped in Europe, obviously, and it'd be detrimental to our domestic campaign. But actually qualifying would provide us with a larger scope for more (and better) new players. It'd help us more than it would harm us. Plus we'd be back in Europe which would be fit. Not particularly. Most of the teams are dogshit until the later rounds. I'd be more worried about the sheer quantity of games.
SEMTEX
Aye, an extra 200 games against Albanian cloggers in front of 400 people at SJP is not what the team needs, unless we signed 4-5 names. Which we wont.

We wouldn't get 'arseraped' in the Europa League, a lot of dross in it but this small squad would certainly struggle with the extra games.

Is the correct answer. I accept where people are coming from when they say the amount of games may be a worry however to progress, Europe is an excellent carat. Of course, having the money available to invest is another matter but Pardew seems, from what I read, confident that he'll have the Carroll money available. Time will tell on that matter but Europe to me says one thing: progress.
Ketsbaia
Denying a spot in Europe is crazy talk, but unless Ashley surprises us with a spending spree, the squad would crumble. Finishing 8th-9th would be sweet.....maybe high enough to convince Enrique to stay.
Lenny
Europe is in no way a bad thing. Ever. For a start players of higher calibre may be interested in signing.

Foluwashola
Who can say their average league form was down to the Waffa cup? They were/are a pretty average team, their league position was probably just a realisation of this.

ElDiablo
I don't have many 'dreams', but I've always wanted to follow us away in Europe. Always too young last time round. Our fixtures are decent, however I don't think it will happen. Everton or Bolton for me will get 7th

Guest EastEndGeordie
TBH getting europe would almost certainly cause Tiote and Enrique to stay as well as attracting decent players, so I'd take it and hope that we get knocked out in the group stages so that we don't get fatigued.
