Good to see Pards push for Europe is on course.

Why would we expect to push for Europe? Can barely cope with 40 games in a season.

consequences of Ashleys transfer policy im afraid.

Keegan was right all along.

f***ing pile of crap that. Everton are not a great team and this was a game we should have won. Did not keep a Arteta under control, their only play of real creativity. Terrible team selection, no guille or creativity at all, the one thing they did was battle and commit, outside that there's little positive to take out of this one.

Bit harsh on Everton like, and espcialy considering the injury problems and lack of strikers we have Everton were easy favories here.

Everton should have scored 5 goals at the very least there. They just weren't very clinical, and didn't look like scoring bespite being in great positions.

Jonas was our MOTM. Carried our attack, beat players for fun, some good balls into the box and a handful of excellent through balls.

Everton looked the more skilful side. We missed that bit of invention that Barton gives us, although we battled hard.

The positive thing to take forward was that Ferguson looks ready for the first team. He got involved right away and looked confident.

We paid the price for shoe horning a terrible defender into the team. Taylor has been the one consistent in many, many terrible defensive performances over the last 5 or 6 years. Should have simply put Ferguson on the left and Jonas on the right and kept some balance.

Worst match if the season.

Sorry but the Fulham game was a lot worse

:sadnod:

Shite, that. Tried hard second half, but really they should have wrapped it up earlier.

:fishing:

Everton missed a boat load of chances at the end + Harper's two good saves. Could've been 1-3 on a few different attacks.

Harper 8 - Outstanding today.

Taylor 5 - Meh

Coloccini 6 - A bit inconsistent at times.

Williamson 7 - Best of our defenders today.

Enrique 6 - Was doing ok before injury.

Simpson 6 - Did ok being shifted about a lot.

Nolan 6.5 - Got into some good attacking positions but we never turned them into anything.

Tiote 7 - Tireless.

Gutierrez 6.5 - Very good shift.

Lovenkrands 3 - And that is being generous. Fucking shit. What on earth was that attempt at a scissor kick shot, get your head on it you fucking idiot.

Best 7 - Another decent performance from him.

Subs

Shola 6.5 - Hold up play gives us another option

Ferguson 6 - Did fine.

Kuqi 6

Desperately missing Barton and his delivery. Two weeks to recover for everyone I guess is good news. Hope Jose and Ranger's injuries are nothing serious. Jonas was just knackered I think. Would seriously drop Lovenkrands from the match squad altogether if Ranger is fit against Stoke, he's absolutely gash.

Oh aye, Everton could have been out of sight by 75mins, let alone the 3/4 gilt-edged misses in the last 10. I was more commenting on Dave's "shite" comment.
