Ketsbaia
Don't mind Carr coming back tbh, it's just everything else. Not that any of this is worth caring about anymore.
KaKa
Like others have said, if the manager is wrong it's all pointless. These goofballs man!
ToonArmy1892
There’s barely another scout around that could work to the conditions Carr worked under and produce the success rate he did. Sissoko and wijnaldum just played in a CL final against each other and we had both of them. It doesn't matter man.

toontownman
Like others have said, if the manager is wrong it's all pointless. These goofballs man! Exactly Its basically having the worlds best goalie with the worlds shittest defence. Our scouts are sandwiched between shit manager that will take their identified players backward and a boardroom that fuck up any approach to targets they line up. Guest
Agent/scout, whichever way you want to describe him he was identifying targets a year or two before the rest.

Thumbheed
Like others have said, if the manager is wrong it's all pointless. These goofballs man! This sums up the entire situation. It's all well and good listing names of players who we could have had, but the reality is that these players would be half the players they are now with the management and coaching they'd have received with us at the time. The second issue is that even if we do uncover a gem and sell for big money, the money isn't reinvested so the whole thing becomes moot. Our only joy is to have an opportunity to see the odd decent player. There is absolutely zero chance that we become a Dortmund or RB Leipzig or even Spurs, which is what I believe those who are open to this idea are hoping for. The underlying issues at the club are still the exact same, it's just been repackaged/rebranded. The saddest thing is that is that a large number of fans will buy this and some of the comments in this thread are testament to that.

Guest
Nut loves Carr forever. Nah, I just don’t get the stick he gets. He got the likes of the McClaren appointment wrong but then again it’s Ashley’s fault for putting him in the sort of role where he had that call. His job should have just been to identity targets and make use of his contacts. By the end, the likes of Swansea were using that market he was in (think Gomis, Ayew & Bony for instance). Two years earlier they’d have signed for us but other clubs were cottoning on by then, plus they were actually prepared to spend the money. We wouldn’t get involved in a bidding war. That’s down to Ashley/Llambias/Charnley and not Carr.
LV
Any changes or actions taken under Ashley are pretty much akin to rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic. Ultimately pointless.

duo
it's like everything else that's going on - it just signals we're stepping back in time like the last 3 years never happened.
Strawberry
He is hit and miss. He needs to work on with a manger who he works with his selections well. I don't think that manager is Bruce.

The saddest thing is that is that a large number of fans will buy this and some of the comments in this thread are testament to that. Exactly. They already tried this exact same thing with mclaren and look what happened there. Signing midfielders to try and make money off when we had Williamson and Taylor at the back and no goalscorer. Morons Scary to think that 2006/7 we were on a par with Spurs if not slightly ahead as we had been top 4 for a few years just before that. They went on to sign Modric and Bale etc and we just made a right hash of it

TRon
Welcome back. Now find saleable assets. That's his sole purpose tbh. I rate him as a scout, but he's finding players for Ashley to make a profit on, not to make us better as a football team.
Robster
These cunts really didn't learn a single fucking thing from the last relegation What they learned is not to employ ambitious people like Rafa Benitez. I think they've done that.
David Edgar
His trick won't work now. Wages are higher in France than they were 5 years ago. We can't offer that bumper pay rise anymore.
