Disco
Wouldn't boo any player once they pulled on the black and white shirt. Say what you want about them during the week, full support on a matchday though. Would be incredibly counter-productive to boo when he could be pivotal to us getting 3 points today. Never understood booing your own players, well not during the game at least. Yes YOU might feel a little better but it's not going to help the player/team. Yep. It will happen though, we've got form for it. Unfortunately true. Never boo your own.
Ste
£14m after last season is probably on the high side. I think £20m is pie in the sky stuff but I still would have set that as my asking price. Wonder if there is any truth to us demanding a sell-on clause and a further few million over the next 2 years. I disagree totally Jordan Henderson was 20 million before this new TV deal. Yes Cabaye wasn't at his best last season but nor was any other player. Why some of our fans are happy to see him sold on the cheap is beyond me Henderson isn't as bad as some on here make out. Nowhere near being worth £20m but he's English and Dalglish bought him so that explains that.

Their Is no need for any sort of fire sale. I think if you look historically when a premier league club is buying a top player from another premier league club the fee Is always high and in current market 14million is not a high fee. Wigan want more than that for McCarthy

STM
Pointless comparing prices for players. Theres been so many stupid signings in the past. However, if I was to give Cabaye a value, 20m would be bang on.

Dr Venkman
"Alan, Cabaye's on the bench today, does that put and end to it?" "No, we've still got to get through 11pm on Monday yet, which is the same for every player" "Is it good to have him back?" "Yes, he's one of the best midfielders in the country, one of the best in Europe. But it's a saga that isn't over yet."

Wilson
done well. needed the feisty little f***er later on, was challenging well for the most part... didn't understand the little bastard refusing to take the corners tho... took the first one and got the full backing of the se corner, then wouldn't take anymore. strange. Dokko
Fans say the hug means he's staying, Sky reckon it means he's leaving Think colo is just showing his support as a captain and of course he went through exactly the same thing in January so knows how he's feeling more than most. Doesn't make the slightest difference to whether he stays or goes.

Thomson Mouse
Fucking laughable MANAGER REACTION - Newcastle 1-0 Fulham Newcastle boss Alan Pardew on whether Yohan Cabaye is staying after appearing for the first time this season against Fulham: "It doesn't mean he's staying because the window is staying open until 11pm on Monday. It's a worry and we've marked his agent's card that if he wants to do business then he should do it early. "The fans got it right, it was a mixed reaction, some were saying Newcastle comes first and others welcoming him because he's a great player."
