Guest pintofscottsellers
Anybody else worried that teams have worked him and us out and just crowd the midfield which means the ball is often with Williamson and therefore he just goes long ?? Aye, other teams must know that Williamson drops his arse when ever He's on the ball

The College Dropout
Anybody else worried that teams have worked him and us out and just crowd the midfield which means the ball is often with Williamson and therefore he just goes long ?? It's not rocket science-like. If you feel a 2-man central midfield is stronger than your duo, it's hardly tactical wizadry to play an extra man. Most teams struggle to control a game in a 4-4-2 against a 4-5-1 hence why so few teams set-up with a 4-4-2 these days. 4-5-1 allows you to keep the ball whilst if you're in a 4-4-2 you will be forced to go more direct unless you have excellent passers and wingers like Manchester United. We are only 1 of 2 teams (other being Man Utd) in the top 8 that consistently plays a 4 man midfield. It's no wonder our midfield has a tough time controlling a game because they are simply outnumbered. Despite nearly always being at a numerical disadvantage they rarely get the runaround for 90 mins. Cabaye & Tiote are a very disciplined duo. Most of our best moments from Norwich came from superb Cabaye balls.

Smal
Him, Guthrie and Jonás were great, even with the latter playing as a DM. Cabaye's getting forward more with a three man midfield and it's no coincidence his performances have improved with that.

themanupstairs
An absolute hero today. Would have loved him to pick up the armband from Colo at HT, as he thrives on responsibility. His bursting run down the left is what allowed Ben Arfa to do what he needed to score. Also loved how he chased down what seemed a lost cause deep in their half so late in the game. Got the heart of a lion this Yohan fella. Outstanding.

Anderson
Back to his best today. Think it's becoming clear that if we want to get the best out of him, and a number of other players, we need stick to playing a midfield 3.
TRC
Yeah he got forward well today, got him self in two great goal scoring positions, but Ben Arfa scored and forced a good save from Foster.
Stottie
When Ba hit that shot into the ground that bounced over a couple of minutes after kickoff, Cabaye was stood pretty much in front of Foster and would have got any rebound. I don't think I've seen him that far forward all season.
