Yohan Cabaye retires

Thought he was outstanding.  Surprised he took so long to get booked, but he put in a monumental shift.  He covered every blade of grass yesterday.  Set pieces were a bit hit and miss, but nearly added an assist to his great goal and he played well throughout.

Was quality against Bordeaux as well, so hoping he'll kick on from here.  Can put a line through the Man U game, as they were all shit.

Was still irritated he put a first half corner straight out.

How can a professional do that?

His set pieces I thought were still poor all game imo.  Defo his best performance of the season mind.

If it's the one I'm thinking of then it got turned behind by one of their players.

I think it was a shot for the bottom corner like

It did take a touch like.

Worked like a mad c*** today.

Doesn't he always? that obviously isn't the issue with him this season.... the issue is getting more of the ball and creating chances for his team mates which at the same time is a team problem as a whole.

His work rate was never in question and showed how important he is when he wasn't playing against Reading and we looked lost for majority of the game.

it was another bizarre decision.  Poor corner, but was most definitely put out by one of theirs.

Had Gardner not put it out then it would have bounced about 2 yards from the goal-line and Shola was running onto it to stab it home on the (half) volley. Cabaye's corners are generally shit but that particular one could quite easily have produced a goal.
