madras
before going on about 64 games etc and claiming he's only played that many due to injury, or certainly intimating it, it may be worth checking how many games in his earlier career he was fit for but not selected. Mick
before going on about 64 games etc and claiming he's only played that many due to injury, or certainly intimating it, it may be worth checking how many games in his earlier career he was fit for but not selected. His appearance record is: 2006/07 32 2007/08 32 2008/09 6 2009/10 38 2010/11 10 That's 118 games he's played in at club level before he came here, add to that any international games and he's not as injury prone as is being made out. He's had 2 poor seasons out of 5, 3 out of 6 if we include this season.

johnnypd
Out for the season according to Pardew. his signing was always going to be a gamble. one that's failed unfortunately. at least for this season. that'll be two years straight where he's barely played. going to be a big ask for him to get his career back on track. even if he makes it back at some point in April as we first thought he'll only have time for a couple of games and probably wouldn't be match fit anyway. Think we should now be looking for another winger/versatile attacking midfielder in January. Obertan's shown he isn't up to it which leaves Jonas, and i guess Ben Arfa, but Pardew refuses to consider him as an outlet on the wing.

Doctor Zaius
What an utter waste of time this lads turned out to be. Clearly, we've signed a crock. Like someone already said, 2 seasons out is a long time, it'll be a big ask for him to get his career back on track.

Wullie
With Gosling and Marveaux, we're seeing the folly of buying players simply because they're injured and therefore cheap. One has missed a massive amount of time during a key stage in a footballer's development and subsequently looks very poor and the other just cannot get over the same recurring injury. You can't build a squad on the cheap by buying injured players.
Spider Jerusalem
Five year contract Looks like we may have signed our next drain on resources before Smith has even left.
Ronaldo
Pathetic, really. But this is generally what happens when you sign bargain basement rubbish.
Doctor Zaius
Five year contract Looks like we may have signed our next drain on resources before Smith has even left. Didnt realise that. Hate to write the lad off but he's looking like he could be an injured mistake like.

madras
Pathetic, really. But this is generally what happens when you sign bargain basement rubbish. he's not bargain basement, he's shop soiled, there is a difference. bargain basement is crap, shop soiled is good but maybe been used to much to be top quality. johnnypd
The talk when we signed Ba was of an incentive based contract. would imagine with marveaux's worries he has something similar so the weekly wage might not be astronomical.

Tooj
How can you be out for the season with a groin injury? Woodgate was out for much longer with a groin injury.
Dave
The talk when we signed Ba was of an incentive based contract. would imagine with marveaux's worries he has something similar so the weekly wage might not be astronomical. Alternatively we took him from Liverpool's grasp with a better contract offer, as everyone (including a number of people on here) would have us believe. Considering the signings Liverpool have been making in recent times...
Dr Venkman
Utterly, utterly predictable. Spend some fucking money you fat cunt. On the bright side it's nice to see us getting next seasons transfers in early, because this lad will be like a new signing in august.
