James
His good play was even before the Lovenkrands pass. Collecting the ball and driving it out to Lovenkrands very well before bursting a gut to get forward.
Guest Recoba
This place is bipolar. He's shit. He scores. He's good.
KaKa
This place is bipolar. He's s***. He scores. He's good. It is pretty embarassing.
Smal
He's still comfortably in our worst two players (avec Ameobi), but he might be useful as a sub in the last few minutes as he was tonight

Rich
Aye, I still think he has been utter shit overall but he did brilliantly for the goal tonight (and throughout his cameo to be fair) and he was used well by Pardew in the circumstances. Is that acceptable?
Mr. Snrub
He's shit. He scores. He's still shit, but we like him a little more.
M4
This place is bipolar. He's shit. He scores. He's good. People are pleased that he did something well is all. Would be hypocritical to say otherwise and slate him just for the sake of it, really.

Yorkie
This place is bipolar. He's shit. He scores. He's good. Will never understand these sorts of comments. You had this post in your head the moment the ball hit the net, didn't you? You just forgot to not-post it.
alexthegreat
Lowes asked Pardew about Obetan and he confirmed he was signing on monday and he harked back to the end of last season when he said he thought we lacked pace to hit teams on the break away from home in particular and that was one of the main reasons for signing obertan. Said he'd signed Cabaye to control games and obertan to hit teams with pace on the break. Pards knows how to use him

He used him like that away at Stoke and it was probably his best game
Rich
Appreciate your sentiment and agree it was his best game, but Pardew simply used him on the right-flank at Stoke, which is where he played for the vast majority of the first half of the season. If anything we "controlled" the game against Stoke (Pardism), rather than played on the counter. Tonight was the first time he used him in the way many had hoped for; in that he was a late substitution brought on to relieve pressure and offer a threat against their increasingly high/tiring/dissipating backline on the counter. It worked very well.
Guest Minusmensch
Not read to start matches yet, but he did well the few minutes he played today. Worked well back on the field, and when he did get the superb ball from Løvenkrands he was calm as fuck the whole time. He deserves a lot of credit for the way he handled the situation that lead up to him finishing a superb strike. Well done, Sir.
AliGupter
What was the goal like, please? PS : We're all waiting for you Ali, just come don't be ashamed... He's an utterly dreadful player, disgrace to the shirt, simple as that.

Fenham Mag
Great finish , surprised he saluted the fans after most of the fickle cunts booed him.
Guest VaVaVoom
Pleased for the lad. Still...He is an impact sub at most. Can see AP starting him ahead of Barfa against Villa now.
jdckelly
I have an odd liking for the lad, might just be me since I'm coming to the conclusion I just tend to like kinda crap players (Shola, Perch)
