Gabriel Obertan signs for Anzhi

Still have no idea when he had the ball 12 yards from the corner flag in the last minute he didn't turn to the right and take the ball into the corner instead of going backwards and then playing a bad ball back to Sissoko which then triggered the 4 back passes back to Krul.  For that alone you have to say he was a big factor in us throwing away the win.

Christ. You could slag off Hitler on here and Ian would offer a defence. Give it up, man.

If you could just add the acceptable opinion into the title of every thread it would save time. Or better yet, have a sticky with a summary of views that are alright. Would save you all the one-sentence dismissals at least.

His appearances need to be limited to away games if at all really. Every time he gets brought on at home he's laughed onto the pitch which for someone who is so mentally fragile just means he's going to shit his pants every time the ball comes near him.

The guy's decision making when he has anything more than one option is horrific. He must be thick to the point of retardation.

But there's clearly a talented footballer in there capable of impacting a game as we've seen it. So damned annoying.

Wow, this guy is a strange one ... some things he does just melt your brain.

That situation where he is right in front of the goalie one on one and goes to pass it was so creepy and weird.

Incredible.

 What did he do like? Sellotape pictures of puppies and his phone number to the ball and hoof it into the family enclosure?  You're priceless you Kaka lad.

Open player to his left. One of one with Goalie. Decision? Pass back to someone with opposition player on him. 2 of the options meant a goal, and he choses the less likely 3rd option.

But then what else would he do?!!? Don't starve him of his bread and butter.

  • 3 weeks later...

He's the sublime and the ridiculous. He creates chances and wastes chances. He causes problems for the opposition. They may know he's a headless chicken but they still have to chase him in case he does something good. I thought he was a good out ball today. He carried the ball forward. He screwed up a good chance but he usually does. I'd have him in the team, especially when Aarons and Cabella are injured.
