ATB
Gutted. Think he could have been a great access against the Manchester teams. This weekend, I´m glad he isn´t available.
BlueStar
Could do with the squad depth but it's not a toe-tal disaster. Nailed it. Phalanges.
Shak
Hard on the lad, had his best game for us against Stoke. Excited to see Marveaux get a proper go though, hopefully he'll make the most of it.
AyeDubbleYoo
Sorry for him, at least it has cropped up when we have fit replacements available and an international break coming up. Will be good to see Marveaux or HBA anyway, wonder if we coud deploy Ba and HBA either side of Best in a 4-3-3 type thing?
Dr.Spaceman
Marveaux - I choose you!
Guest The Enforcer
Bring in Santon to play right midfield.
Cajun
Given how Carver was recently saying Marveaux could play on either wing I think he will step in.
Christmas Tree
Pretty gutted about this. :'( As much as Ive been desperate to see Marveaxu get a game, I do think Obi has been improving and offers us something a little bit different than we'll get with Marveaux. I like Obi's very fast runs down the right and even when he doesnt get the ball, he scares the opposition into hoofing it out as happened against Stoke quite often. Not sure if Marveaux does that and tend to think off him more as a silky Nolberto sought of winger. Still, Marveaux or Ben Arfa (if he agrees) are still canny options to bring in. Have to remember how important this position is with Jonas doing the extra defence bit.
oldtype
Shame, but having an actual squad feels really good
Nobody
Can see Jonas being moved to the right for the Everton game now to help Simpson handle Baines and whoever plays on their left wing (Drenthe plays on the right, doesn't he?). Not a disaster, but injuries to first team players are never good. Terrific chance for Marveux to show us what he can do, and I'm happy that he will finally get his chance. Hanshithispantz
Feel a bit guilty like but i'm sort of selfishly glad that HBA or Marv should be getting a few starts now.
Pata
Is it wrong to be more excited about the Everton game as Marv/HBA now starting?
Christmas Tree
Is it wrong to be more excited about the Everton game as Marv/HBA now starting? It should be wrong as Obi has been a regular feature of the team that has got us to 3rd and Pardew has chosen to pick him over the other two. I know what you mean though. AyeDubbleYoo
I'm excited about seeing more of Marveaux, but the reason for it is a real shame.
Ketsbaia
With our squad theres several players where an injury would be a big problem - Obertan isn't one of them. We only have 5 defenders, up front we'd have to play Lovenkrands, but midfield? Theres Marveaux, Guthrie, Gosling or even Ben Arfa. Good performance against Stoke but for me, Wigan is still fresh in the memory.
Dinho lad
I actually tutted.
Stottie
Shame for the lad, but its a position where we do have decent replacements. I won't tempt fate and suggest some others where we don't.
Tiresias
Eeep bad timing after actually showing that he is good after all. Oh well, we have the cover there.
Foluwashola
Aye, was pretty damn good against Stoke. At least the international break means he won't miss as many matches. Lets hope Marveaux is up to the task

Guest optimistic nit
no injury is good with how we're playing atm, although losing obertan is not as bad as losing colo, ba or a couple of others.

Tiresias
He's possibly had to have the nail removed, I've had that and it was maybe bit less than a month but certainly all bandaged up for a while. That said still a month seems a bit much It's also a bit sad considering this covers the manchester games where I expect we'd be hoping to score on fast breakaways out of defence, which is surely his speciality.
