Bishops Finger
Sanctioning the buying of players with money the club has generated in it's own right does not warrant praise, it should be a given. Replacing players we sell does not warrant praise, it should be a given. The fact so many are willing to drop to their knees and start piping the horrible w*****s off for simply, briefly, acting like a (semi) normal football club is ridiculous. We should be looking to invest, we should be spending the money we have, we should be replacing the players who leave - that's just the normal way to do things. It's satisfactory, bang average, alright, reasonable. It certainly doesn't warrant the rimming they're getting from some of the fuckwits out there. Nail on head. Mattoon
Stockholm syndrome tbh, throw us a few scraps and the less mentally astute think they're doing us a favour. We haven't had a permanent transfer in 18 months, anything would seem like a breakthrough, even doing the bare minimum. Fucking sheep.

I am really happy with the past few weeks just because of the surprise that we've actually went and bought some players for a change, I'm not grateful at all to him for it though. He still hasn't spent anything yet as far as I'm concerned. It's just a relief we've signed some players, things were really looking like that might be a struggle a few short weeks ago. Disco
Ashley has kept prices relatively low to offset many fans walking away to be fair to him.
Guest Nixon
The only real positive to his presence is the kind of player we're now signing. Under the previous owner, we largely spunked money on players that had seen their best days already. At least now, we get a player with potential to grow and rise. Hopefully the acquisition department hangs around after he has gone so we might get to keep them longer and build something. I'd appreciate more transparency through the club as well. It seems like the loan from him just sits there when it could be paid off.

If you had ended that after 'away', it would have been far better and emphasises the difference between how the fans are treated

He's got a point about the PL as well. http://i.imgur.com/mhLPcnp.png Bayern only sell 10,000 season tickets? Obviously there attendance is like 70k per week, I'd have thought they'd sell at least 40k as season tickets.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
How much should Ashley be paying us for the Sports Direct advertising on the stadium? Is there any precedent for the amount? Need to settle an argument. Or how much would a lucrative deal cost someone else to advertise at SJP?

AlanSkÃrare
Listening to Andy Brassell do some transfer talk on Talksport (aye I know) and some moron from our lot is saying that Mike Ashley now gets it and is going to become a cult hero at Newcastle. Was shocked at this. He wrote something for ESPN the other day as well, wondering whether AP and MA are about to turn things round etc. Not many I respect more than him, expected more. He knows us well too.
