Wilson
He's gonna fuck this up isn't he? 'tell you what, about 400m to me and 50m for transfers? How's that sound amanda'
Eddy Chibas
150m set aside for buying players over two years (4 transfer windows) isn't enough in today's market imo. Hopefully this figure doesn't include commercial/advertising revenue, if the Sports Direct shackles are removed.

Dr Venkman
Fucks sakes. This is at the stage now where I’m not going to be able to fully concentrate on anything else until it’s over.
Paully
I have the exact same positivity about this as I had about Rafa remaining after we were relegated..............DO NOT FUCK THIS UP - YOU FAT PIECE OF SHIT!

Hopefully this figure doesn't include commercial/advertising revenue, if the Sports Direct shackles are removed. There's only 4 clubs with a net spend of over £150m over the last 5 years. Sir Toon
Everyone needs to chill. I dont even think we're at the Barry Moat stage of this 'deal' yet and that was the biggest red herring so far. Based on Ashley's lie filled career he's had here it's best to hope for nowt and expect to be let down. Anything else is a bonus. Now the lack of denials from someone credible is the stumbling block in my negativity but this is Ashley they're dealing with so im expecting It'll end in tears. :frantic:
Collage
f***s sakes. This is at the stage now where I’m not going to be able to fully concentrate on anything else until it’s over. This. Work is truly fucked until we know.
TRon
Sounds like Caulkin doesn't know anything extra. I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up. But he's confirming the FT story and there are actual figures being bandied about with no one denying them from either PCP or the club. For the first time I am starting to think this could be happening.

henke
Sports Direct is the stumbling block, I can't see Ashley selling something so important to Sports Direct.
Shearergol
150m set aside for buying players over two years (4 transfer windows) isn't enough in today's market imo. Hopefully this figure doesn't include commercial/advertising revenue, if the Sports Direct shackles are removed. It'll be £300m investment in transfers on top of whatever the club already has available to spend (from the TV money).

Figures 1-0 Football
I’ve completely lost all hope of staying calm like. Not felt like this since the first rumours of Rafa coming. Already chose what I’ll be wearing at the Champions League final. Currently trying to have a child so that I can bring him into this fabulous world where Newcastle have hope. Charlies
No denial from Ryder: Newcastle United for sale: Amanda Staveley and PCP Capital Partners set for bid after talks Newcastle United chiefs have held further talks with PCP Partners and an NDA is expected to be signed soon BY LEE RYDER08:07, 19 OCT 2017 Amanda Staveley is set to sign an non-disclosure agreement with Newcastle United and bid for the club that was put up for public sale on Monday. It is understood that Staveley - as the Chronicle reported on Tuesday - has held constructive talks with the Magpies’ top brass . Although, Newcastle told us yesterday that there was no information available regarding which parties the club have held talks with in recent times. Staveley is spearheading the PCP Capital Partners group from the Middle East who are said to have control of a £28billion worth of funds. Newcastle United Up For Sale Live blog Quick sale Staveley value for NUFC Our writers' verdict Toon tycoon Mike Ashley is not thought to have agreed what the final price would be for Newcastle but is open to the idea of staggered payments for the “right buyer”. It was reported earlier this year that Ashley would accept around £380-£400million for the club. READ MORENewcastle United news LIVE - Amanda Staveley 'launches £300m bid' for NUFC; Money for Benitez in January But claims from the capital yesterday suggested that Staveley valued the club at around £303.4million and there could be a further £150million to plough into investment on the field over the next couple of years. Four other parties have signed NDAs with Newcastle officials and interest has also came in from China and the United States.

Hopefully this figure doesn't include commercial/advertising revenue, if the Sports Direct shackles are removed. Obviously we might be getting ahead of ourselves BUT I disagree that it isn't enough Firstly you consider that we currently spend a fraction of that and have done so under Ashley and secondly Rafa could do a hell of a lot with that sort of money I think 4 solid signings (GK, LB, Striker and a 10) would be enough to comfortably push us into the top half and close enough to the top

Wilson
Is there a way in which Ashley can benefit from connections with the milf? Desperately trying to think of a way in which he won't want to fuck this up
