Can't blame Lovenkrands for not being able to protect him, he was simply picked for a position he's ludicrously unsuited to - at any level of football, let alone the EPL. Certainly agree with the Lovenkrands comments. There comes a point where I guess you have to blame the manager for picking him. Would disagree with the Ryan Taylor comments. Guest BooBoo Posted December 5, 2011 Share Posted December 5, 2011 Whilst the last three games have pretty much yielded what I expected, a single point, we've given all three sides a good game. We have however just lacked that extra bit of quality and we've now played 5 of the sides I expect will finish top 6 (MU, MC, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea) and not beaten any of them. No disgrace in that and if we can continue our very impressive record against the rest of make-weights then we'll have a very good season. 7th should still be the realistic target as I dont think we've got the squad or telling class to really push above that. It was always just going to take a few key injuries before we looked very stretched and we just have to hope that only Taylor is a long termer with swift returns for Tiote and Colo. Saturday's game suddenly appears pretty important. If we can take a result off Norwich then I'll be happy with that considering our defence will be pretty feeble. A defeat and we'll suddenly be looking a bit sorry for ourselves. Our record against newly promoted clubs has been crap for years and if we can nick a point, it should be considered a good return.
