sempuki
He was physically thrown out of the dressing room after the Manure loss? I wonder by who - Shola maybe. Who said that happened? In the Independent.

Dr Venkman
Pray that Pardew goes at the end of the season at the latest and that Hatem gives the new bloke a chance. All we need is a positive manager that will try and build a team around him, the manager doesn't even need to be THAT good, just positive.

DubblyDubblyDubbly
Colo says he is the thickest player in the programme today. Poor bugger is getting it from all sides. It didn't do Gazza any harm being the thickest ever to take to the pitch, some stupid tackles aside. Destroyed him off it of course.
alexf
and yet he's probably our cleverest player, in terms of vision on the football pitch, now that Cabaye has gone.
Tachikoma
I think Marveaux is even better in that regard, but he's frozen out too.
Barnes23
I think Marveaux is even better in that regard, but he's frozen out too. Seemed to have better decision making than HBA to me, too.

Wilson
I really hope Pardew goes before he manages to force Ben Arfa out. HBA's away in the summer...only has 1 year left doesn't he? and he won't be signing a new contract. Even IF Pardle goes I doubt he'll stay.
Mick
If Pardew stays I think Ben Arfa will go even if he wanted to stay because the fraud will not want the fans singing for him to come on and putting him under pressure.
LRD
Unbelievable that Hatem's career here would be summarised in a little more than two threads.
Cajun
Unbelievable that Hatem's career here would be summarised in a little more than two threads. I can't see him ever fulfilling his real potential. That isn't taking away any blame from Pardew who royally fucked up but HBA seems to have been self destructive even from him youth days. Something not right in that otherwise brilliant head of his.
HawK
Unbelievable that Hatem's career here would be summarised in a little more than two threads. 3 goals, that first vs Everton, the cup vs Blackburn, and the one was it against Bolton where he sprinted down the middle from half way? Guest firetotheworks
Most of his goals have been picturesque. My favourite is still the WBA away one. Just beautiful football and a deadly finish. He's class man, absolutely love him.

Ben Arfa is flawed, I don't think many would argue on that score. Forget tracking back, even going forward he has a tendency to hog the ball and that would see most top clubs steer clear. But we aren't a top club and some of the players starting ahead of him in a team which struggles to score goals aren't fit to be on the same pitch. That's the issue. I don't disagree with any of that, there is absolutely no reason why he shouldn't start games when he isn't injured.

The sad thing is, you can see that he's trying to fit in within Pardew's anti-football framework, and is trying to make things work out with a club for the first time in his life. This has been nothing but a complete waste of an opportunity for both sides.
