Quotes from Swansea director in the article saying that we have enquired about Vorm.

Worrying.

But if tottenham have enquired over krul, its good to know where we would stand.

Aye Ashley's drooling at the thought of another £15 mill he's gonna get back.

c***.

Sell high, buy low, pocket the difference. How it goes im afraid.

Dear Alan Pardew,

It appears not to have to come to your attention that, despite your fine efforts so far this season, Newcastle United are and have only been one bad tackle/refereeing decision/slip away from having to play James Perch in a centre back position for a run of games. As was seen in the Norwich game unfortunately, despite his best efforts, James is not a centre back and we will concede goals as a result of teams exposing this fact.

I like you want to the team progress on and off the field through astute management but surely given the clubs recent outlay in transfers and the value of finishing as high up the league as possible (Eg. Last seasons 2nd half slip v WBA was worth over £1.5m in lost potential revenue) there is room for a small outlay on a young, promising specialist centre back that come in to the squad and add much needed cover be it on a permanent or short term loan deal?

I eagerly await your response.

Yours faithfully,

If we can get the Cisse transfer over the line, then it goes without saying that our next target should be a CB (a young-ish player would be fine, one who has the potential attributes to play in the PL).

Been mentioned before but Lewis Dunk could be an option....
