joeyt
Amazing what strikers can do with a bit of quality. Great ball and finish

Guest
Already 5 goals more for us than this stage last season.
Dokko
Worked hard. Played well. Think he needs a partner. Benteke would be great for next season.
Cajun
Been slightly critical of him this season but he looked like last seasons player today. He's going to be class with these players around him.
Cajun
Worked hard. Played well. Think he needs a partner. Benteke would be great for next season. Would love Benteke. That said with Sissoko behind him and Gouffran running about the place with pace and clever movement I think we already have a lot of promise (as long as we play for 90 fucking minutes!), that's not to mention Cabaye, Marveaux and that Ben Arfa bloke. Smal
Did any of you watch Benteke tonight? He was rubbish.
Mole_Toonfan
Did any of you watch Benteke tonight? He was rubbish. could have easily won them the game, if he wasn't.
Guest palnese
He needs a team set up to create chances for him, not a partner.
AyeDubbleYoo
Very please he got a proper striker's goal, he was due it.
Cajun
I don't think he was rubbish and I have seen him in other games this season. At 22 he has a hell of a lot of promise and has scored something like 13(?) goals this season.
Skeletor
An injury to this man and we are well and truly fucked.
Dokko
Did any of you watch Benteke tonight? He was rubbish. He battered us. Just what we need, especially under Pardew.
madras
He needs a team set up to create chances for him, not a partner. not a strike partner but he needs support breaking from midfield.
Guest firetotheworks
Great finish, let's stick him on the right wing.
Pilko
That was the sort of bread and butter goal you'd expect him to get all the time when he's fully on form. Delighted for him.
KaKa
Great finish, let's stick him on the right wing. God this upsets me so much ... It's not like we've got someone who actually holds up the ball. Shola is so damn awful at it, its untrue.
Fenham Mag
One chance, one goal.
Mole_Toonfan
Did any of you watch Benteke tonight? He was rubbish. He battered us. Just what we need, especially under Pardew. In the same way Andy Carroll battered Arsenal when they beat West Ham earlier in season, won everything in the air but did sod all with it. He needs a team set up to create chances for him, not a partner. This get a forward who can play wide like Aubameyang and its perfect, getting someone who can only play CF accomplishes nothing. Unless of course you plan to use that CF as a back up.
Tiresias
I think with Sissoko, Cabaye or Ben Arfa behind him he'll be fine, Sissoko's ball through for him was perfect for him, and got it's reward. His finish was spot on, not like what Torres has managed (either tap ins or screamers and nothing inbetween), a strikers goal. More balls like that, more goals, simple as.
