jdckelly
TBF I do think spitting is worse than a generic bad tackle, but not as bad as violent conduct like a stamp. Bad tackles are part of the game. dunno, spitting is disgusting but don't end careers, bad tackles can. Seems rather backwards and overall petty
BillClinton
Watch Cisse get banned and Evans get away with it Evans denying it was the first step after the media let him off, it's inevitable now.
Stifler
No fucking way would I apologise, if it happens to me I would made sure Evans left the field on stretcher.

sbnufc
Statements from them both: Cisse "I have apologies to make to a lot of people today. Firstly to my teammates and to our supporters, secondly to Jonny Evans, and thirdly to every football fan who saw the incident between myself and Jonny. "I reacted to something I found very unpleasant. Sometimes it is hard not to react, particularly in the heat of the moment. I have always tried hard to be a positive role model, especially for our young fans, and yesterday I let you down. "I hope children out there playing football for their clubs and schools this weekend will know better than to retaliate when they are angry. Perhaps when they see the problem it now causes me and my team they will be able to learn from my mistake, not copy it." Evans "Having woken up this morning I am shocked to have seen the media coverage from last night’s match. I would like to make it clear that I did not spit at Papiss Cisse. "I was totally unaware of any spitting incident and had assumed that the issue at the time was with the challenge and his attempted retaliation to the tackle from the floor. During the game Papiss Cisse and I spoke about the incident and it is clear by my reaction in the television footage that I was totally surprised by any suggestion of spitting. "It is not in my character or in my nature to spit at anybody nor is it something I have ever done or would ever do. It is certainly not something that I did last night." Anderson
What was the reaction towards Evans on MotD? Owen and Savage talked a little bit of sense after the embarrassment of Scholes and McManaman, but still didn't go far enough with the criticsm of him. Flip
Evans man Just can't admit it. Definitely spat, both did and both should be getting suspensions. Ridiculously embarrassing from two adults.

geordiesteve710
Watch Cisse get banned and Evans get away with it All fking day. Evans has denied it, cisse admitted it. It took the MOTD commentator 3 full cisse-bashing replays before announcing that "actually it appears Evans might also have spat. Maybe even first of all" Can see a 1 match ban and a 6 match ban. We all know who for.

nemtizz
Minimum 6 game bans for both. Cissé looking at 7, due to already being banned earlier this season Lol at the FA. It's a fucking vile thing to do, but how is it worse than a career ending challenge or an elbow? Evans should get a longer ban merely for being a little bitch and denying it. Shush
I can see Evans getting off. He will deny spitting at Cisse, Alex Ferguson will make a media appearance to comment how lovely Evans is, FA will drop charges against Evans, Cisse walloped with big ban. Take Cisse goals out of the side and we are truly the most boring fucking team to watch in the universe. A lot of pressure on Perez now.

Turnbull2000
U f***ing wot, McInally? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/9744911 Six games is not enough. It's a deterrent because you get banned for six but maybe you'd think 'that's alright'. "Maybe you should make it 10 games - that's two-and-a-half months and that's a long time out of the game and for your club to be paying you. They aren't going to be happy. "If you get tackled and somebody injures you, I think you take it. If somebody spits on you, as a footballer player, that's not happening. "You'd rather get somebody tackling you and get injured than you get up after falling down together and somebody spits on you, so maybe six games isn't enough. If you give them 10 games, they take the wrath of their football club.
