Guest
When you're talking about his goal record from 4 years ago as a reason he should be playing, when he hasn't done it consistently ever since, I think you can. We're not going to see the Cisse that was banging them in from ridiculous angles all of a sudden when he hasn't for so long.

olliemort
Jesu You can when a good 4 month run is out of sync with the other 4 years. But you can't though, he scored those goals, so you need to count them, doesn't matter if he has not hit those heights again or not. He is nowhere near the player he seemed then, but you can't just ignore the goals he scored when he looked great for us. Maybe we should not count the games he played and didn't score then, when Pardew played him out wide? Or all the other games he was left upfront on his own with no support or no service? You can't pick and choose parts of someone's playing history, to make a point. You have to count it all. Fucking hell forgot about that when pardew played him out wide. That was mental after one game you could tell he would be brutual out there. But he kept playing him out there anyways....good awl pards! He never looked the same player since
TRon
At the beginning of this season when a lot of people wanted us to flog Cisse after buying Mitrovic, I said back then that I would rather he still be here as I wouldn't want to be relying on Mitro or Perez to score the goals no matter how good their play is outside the box. Well, here we are, both of them contributing to our all round play, except in the penalty area.

Hanshithispantz
I said the same as TRon like, but Cisse has been fucking fucking shite. And other than the last 2 games Mitrovic has generally more than most to our all round play.
Ronaldo
You'd have to be pretty daft to have wanted rid of Cisse at the start of the season, like. He got 1 in 2 last season with the shittest service known to man. Effectively keeping us in the league, again.

And other than the last 2 games Mitrovic has generally more than most to our all round play. Even if he's absolute shite now (I'll take your word for it) I can guarantee you if we got a decent cross in he'd be far more likely to be on the end of it than any of our other 'strikers'. Riviere? Oh yeah forgot about him, I take it back.

It's not even that I think he's particularly good, just that goal scoring is an art and it's something that comes more naturally to some than others. That's why Allardyce had to do a 180 degree turn on his decision to drop Defoe after claiming strikers who only scored goals weren't suitable for the modern game. Well they are a lot better than strikers who don't score goals that's for sure.

Oh yeah forgot about him, I take it back. I'd agree if he hadn't been through multiple 6 month to a year stretches of not being able to hit a barn door. If he's fit I'd probably start him, don't get me wrong, but there's just as much of a chance he'll score 0 in 9 as there is he'll score 9 in 9. He isn't a guaranteed goalscorer and Mitrovic is far better in general play.

Dave
It's good that he's back, because all evidence I've seen this season suggests he's still our best bet up front for scoring a goal. Which is fairly pathetic.

The College Dropout
Liked one move he made in the box in particular. Maybe 5 minutes before the goal. Remember thinking if Mitro moved like that when a cross comes in he'd score more. 5 minutes later it happened.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
He was grinning away when he came on. We're a goal down at home to Sunderland in a crucial relegation game and he's smiling like he's just heard a good joke.
