Benwell Lad
So the mackems are yet to realise that after the usual brief new manager upturn and a few flukey results, what they have seen versus WBA, Blackburn, Everton (twice), Spurs, Wolves etc etc is actually their real level and that their manager is a stubborn, past his sell by date fraud who makes Big Sam look tactically astute. Great. Never mind, their rapidly losing interest, American hedge fund operating owner who bought them on the (very) cheap, is going to sanction a major overhaul of Saint Niall and the previous manager's fat bloated, massively overpaid, underperforming, long term contracted squad, who of course will be going nowhere very soon voluntarily. Brilliant. FTM.

Unbelievable
Re: mid table mediocrity....get used to it. We are only Sunderland. If the scum can get into europe with that team which is a glorified pile of shite and two decent strikers, then we can quite easily. Anderson
They don't still have that ridiculous thing in the group stages where you'd only play each team the once (either home or away, not both), do they? Had to be the most ridiculous rule ever.

Had to be the most ridiculous rule ever. No, it's home and away and it pretty much follows the Champions league format with a few additional knock out rounds. nufc4eva
They seem to be deluding themselves that they will definitely finish above us next season and this season is a one off, they must have missed us smashing 5 past them last season and only finishing below because we fucked up on last day. Also think MONg is a much greater manager than pardew, and pardew should not be mentioned in same sentence - they are 4 points further away from us than when he took over so what does that say about about our form since xmas, we may have had a half season start (really can't believe they keep saying this) but we would still be above you bitter deluded tramps
Colos Curls
http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showpost.php?p=12360333&postcount=123 Dear oh dear, but more so later on he says he didnt even know which club we bought ben arfa from so that shows how "internationally reknown he is". So because some hick mackem didnt know where ben arfa was from obviously the rest of the world is of the same opinion, ignorance is bliss over on wearyside. Didn't have a full pre-season, then twisted his ankle playing for the reserves. OH! And he then says 'we came under pressure after the second game, which was the Newcastle derby game'. Neil
The main problem with the Sunderland squad, and this has been the case my entire life to varying degrees, is that it's full to the brim with average shite. Take out Lee Cattermole, bring in Craig Gardner. Take out Wes Brown, bring in Michael Turner. Take out Kieran Richardson, bring in Wayne fucking Bridge. Until they actually decide to start buying good players and not a plethora of different shades of shit, they won't go anywhere. Of course, the problem with that is, which quality players will come to Sunderland, let alone stay there for a few years?
