Guest Klizsch
Excellent game. Wonder how he is able to get so far up the pitch so often -without leaving his side exposed. They got nothing from their left, apart from some early run. Pardew spot on about him in his comments.
Tooj
Best player on the pitch according to Pardew. Hard to argue. Also got a nice dig in at Simpson too on his BBC interview.

Dr.Spaceman
Debuchy looks like he's up for a fight every game, something we've lacked in that position for as long as we've had Danny Simpson on our books.
Rich
He praises Simpson highly on the NUFC TV interview mind, saying that behind today it was the best right-back performance of the season from him away at Metalist.
Tiresias
He praises Simpson highly on the NUFC TV interview mind, saying that behind today it was the best right-back performance of the season from him away at Metalist. It definitely was, he didn't manage to hoof it out of play when should be crossing, didn't get them to conceed from our throw-in and passed it a few times. Sadly it's come to that being his best performance mind. He wasn't all that bad mind, he really seemed to be making the effort but Debuchy is better than him, by a while. It also says something of Simpson's character that he was happy to turn out awful performance after awful performance till he actually has competition. Oakie Doke
I wondered how he'd cope with the pressure of wearing Ramage's shirt number but he seems to have coped with it well and even made it his own.

Cajun
As cheesy as it is I love these things tbh. We seem to put a lot of work in to integrate the players which is really important and will also help us attract players in future imo.

LFEE
@nufcfans: Debuchy delighted with 3 points - "It also takes us above Sunderland. I was told about the rivalry and I know how important it was." #NUFC

LFEE
@theofficialfuckingsite I know I know... I should maybe tidy quotes up but to be fair it's just quoting the source... They seem unusually canny for getting post match quotes others struggle with...

pedro111
It's brilliant having a proper right back like. Love it when he controls it on his chest on the edge of our box and dribbles it forward.
Eddy Chibas
I wondered how he'd cope with the pressure of wearing Ramage's shirt number but he seems to have coped with it well and even made it his own. It's great to see a newcomer step into the mamoth sized boots of a cult figure, and handle the level of expectation with aplomb. Debuchy's fast on his way to converting a devoted fanbase, for now, but the legacy of an icon still lingers large.

The College Dropout
Some didn't want to admit it but Simpson was great against Metalist. Yesterday, Debuchy took it to another level and I love it. Great going forward but DEFENSIVELY SECURE. Total package.
BoSelecta
Nice to have two fullback both heavily involved with the goals yesterday. Nice to see Santon not cutting in right and getting to the byline as well.
