Be amazed if there's not some utterly shit underlying reason for this. Plays 25+ games one year to persona non grata in weeks. Makes no sense on any level aside from the prick knows Bigi won't  kick up a fuss because of his vackground

From what I've seen of him he deserves a chance. I honestly think he could have Tiote's replacement if he was given game time in order develop. With Tiote soon off and Bigi suffering from the Pardew blame game mistreatment and rumours of him having no future at the club I can't see it happening.

If there was a youghster at the club who I was genuinely excited about, it was him. As always Pardew has to fuck things up.

Who would he be ahead off though? In Pardew's mind anyway?

He's probably 6th choice behind Tiote, Anita, Colback, Sissoko & Abeid.

Should have actively tried to get a loan spell for him. 2013/14 was a total write-off and it's no different this season either. Send him back to Coventry, cover his meager wages or something so that he gets match experience at least.

Armstrong also had a waste opportunity when clubs were willing to take him on loan recently. We held him back due to de Jong's injury. He's behind Cisse, Riviere and Ayoze and we play with one striker. The most he could realistically expect is a 'run' in the domestic cups.

Look at Spurs sending all their youngsters out whenever there's an opportunity. A number of them came back with match experience and contributed to their first team. Walker, Livermore, Townsend, Rose etc.

I am sure they can put recall clauses into the contracts so I don't understand why they don't get them loaned out so they are at least getting game time.  If there is an injury crisis and they need to be recalled then it would be better for us if they have been playing competitive football.

Another problem always seems to be that we refuse to compromise on the wages.  It will benefit us more to have the players playing and if they are not good enough for us, we are more likely to be able to sell them to a lower league club rather than end up releasing them at their end of the contract.  If we were more flexible on the wages, we might get more money in the longterm.

He refused to go on loan a year or two back didn't he? Could be why.

Going on loan to Yeovil by the looks of it :anguish:

Better than rotting here. There are too many players ahead of him atm. A year or two in the lower divisions won't hurt him at this point.

Exactly how much lower should be going exactly?

If a League One club is the only one interested in loaning him, let him go and get some game time instead of reserves football. He's never getting a chance in the first team as it stands. He'd get a loan move to a Championship club if he impresses anyway.

So if he works hard and impresses he might make it to the level he was at 2 years ago before he joined our academy of career death.

Well, there's a lot of things we can't undo and this is not a defence of the regime by any means. The only option we have for the poor sod is to start somewhere better than reserves matches. If we have the choice of a loan offer from a League One club or wait for a Championship loan to materialise, I rather we send him out to Yeovil for a month or two and see if he generates any Championship interest, and go from there.

Jay Spearing was getting fairly decent game time at Liverpool 3 years ago but he didn't develop and is a Championship player at best. Not everything is a this club's fault. He was always down the pecking order, can't remember many instances the last 18 months thinking Bigirimana should be playing here. Sometimes it just happens.
