Cajun
I'm not bothered whether he scores or not. He's making a good contribution to the team, holding the ball well and opening things up for his team-mates. His level of skill on the ball wasn't apparent to me on the compilation videos that I saw previously. I'm no longer a doubter. Some great flick ons, created the Remy chance that was very well saved and also put Remy through where Davies fouled and could have been sent off. Completely unconcerned about him not scoring yet. I wanted someone who wasn't Shola and could link up play, win headers etc.. which he is doing just fine.
wyn davies
still getting to grips with the premiership and bearing in mind hadly played a game, no doubt will improve with time.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Would this work? Luuk de Jong, Luuk de Jong, Luuk de Jong, Luuk de Jong, And everything is all right, Luuk de Jong.
Unbelievable
Glad he started yesterday, which I wasn't certain he would be doing much after Pardew's comments regarding Cisse being turned to first because he is our player for the next three years. Decent, intelligent all round play yesterday, and I'm sure the goals will come as he gets to know the league and his team mates better. He looks more confident already than in his first cameos. Looked to me like Anita may have taken him under his wing a little bit from the way they interacted.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
I'll have concerns if he plays until the end of the season but doesn't score (or at least have plenty of decent shots on target). I wouldn't want NUFC to spend a decent portion of it's limited transfer budget on a striker who doesn't regularly score goals. If Remy leaves we absolutely must get strikers who regularly score goals. Hopefully de Jong will get goals once he's fully up to speed.

Wallace
So far he has managed not to be constantly offside or to foul the defender which means our attacks are not being stopped the moment the ball is hit upfield. It was noticeable yesterday how much better our attacking play was in and around the box and we actually got a lot of players into the box for a change. We have rarely had players (with the exception of Gouffran) in a position to follow up a parried shot as Sissoko and Anita did yesterday. And LDJ was in good positions in the penalty area as well. joeyt
Luuk de Jong won more aerial duels (12) than any other player in the Premier League yesterday.
Gallowgate Toon
Has a rare combination of being aerially strong but just as good on the deck, his touch is excellent and he's very capable of holding off challenges. He was in some good positions yesterday where he'd have been in on goal if someone had played him through, hopefully, it's just a case of getting to know team mates. morpeth mag
Luuk de Jong won more aerial duels (12) than any other player in the Premier League yesterday. Dutch Total Football the Pardew way. Seriously, was a good focal point yesterday.
Cajun
I love a player you know will get the ball and not fuck it up. LDJ is looking like one of these, always seems to use it well.

His level of skill on the ball wasn't apparent to me on the compilation videos that I saw previously. I'm no longer a doubter. Me neither, he provides much more than a goal scorer ever will as his play allows the whole team to get into position to score. As long we have goalscorers alongside him and right now we do, i'd pay what ever the pre-agreed fee is as you'd find it hard to find another who fits so seamlessly to a Pardew team without being an utter knacker. ujpest doza
He's never going to be a prolific goalscorer but his touch and link play to feed others is excellent. I'd sign him now.
KaKa
Love a dutch forward, and it looks like we've got one with some potential. Just 23 years old. Will be a mistake not to sign him up permanently.

TRon
He's never going to be a prolific goalscorer but his touch and link play to feed others is excellent. I'd sign him now. He needs to show some goal scoring intent over this loan period for me to be convinced he'd be a good permanent signing. We don't have enough goals in our team as it is, I don't think we can carry a striker who doesn't offer them either. In his favour though he is only 23 and he could still start scoring. The College Dropout
I can see why he went for all that money (considering his goal record in Holland). Even if he could only manage Gouffran type numbers in front of goal he would be well worth the money. His all round game is genuinely great. We haven't had this type of team forward since Bellamy (although in a much different way) or dare I say Kluivert?

Pilko
His all round play yesterday was absolutely superb. For me there was only Anita on the pitch who performed any better. Class act, really hope we buy him.
