Superior Acuña
We're effectively nine points behind West Ham now. Cool. Not really. You can't call a 9 difference in goal difference an extra point over an 8 point gap. In the process of gaining 8 points on a team, it's quite likely that you'll overturn (or almost) a 9 difference in GD. Also, a game in hand.

The College Dropout
I'm not worried about relegation at all. There's worse in the league. Remember how s*** we where when we went down? Even then we only needed another point to survive. A relegation battle? Maybe yes. So you're worried about us getting into a relegation battle but not worried about us actually going down because of that time we actually went down? Can see us finishing 13-16th at worst. 16th is a relegation battle. We were miraculously shit when we got relegated and we where 1 point off safety. We won't be that shit again. Not having 3 managers in one season will help like.

Ikon
West Ham have a good manager and an ambitious board. I want to know that feel. They have a board full of c***s. You've at least got a taste of that. Yes we have, and under one 'period' it tasted like putting your tongue on a piece of railway iron.

The College Dropout
Big Sam has had the chance to build a side in his image with WHU, with some backing in the transfer market. Here he had "good" players like Owen and Martins but he played a style that didn't suit them and ultimately paid the price. Sounds similar to our current situation. I'm sure we'd be further up the league if we signed AC like. Not that I want that but that's Pardew's style.

ponsaelius
West Ham have a good manager and an ambitious board. I want to know that feel. This time last year everybody was praising our work in the transfer market and the job the manager was doing. Things can change pretty quickly in football, probably best not be wishing we had Allardyce/Gold/Sullivan because they've had a good couple of months to start the season and some of their signings are doing well. If they'd deservedly lost the play-off final they'd be a laughing stock, fine margins.

Not that I ever said I wanted those exact people, but they've gambled very well since relegation like Ashley did until last summer. Different methods but both very successful in achieving their aim. We're now going backwards because of the ongoing lack of ambition.

Like Ashley was they're on a winning streak right now.
Mick
Yes we have, and under one 'period' it tasted like putting your tongue on a piece of railway iron. I've always felt that putting your tongue on a piece of railway iron is far too underrated and doesn’t get the praise that it deserves.
