54
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/8849981/?utm_source=twitterfeed_Newcastle&utm_medium=facebook St Mirren boss Danny Lennon has hinted he would be keen to take young Newcastle striker Adam Campbell on loan. The Paisley side have already borrowed left-back Paul Dummett and midfielder Conor Newton from the Magpies as part of an affiliation deal between the two clubs. Both players played key roles as Lennon's side secured their first major trophy in 26 years with victory over Hearts 3-2 in the Scottish Communities League Cup final. The pair have now been rewarded with new deals on Tyneside and Lennon revealed he had spoken to counterpart Alan Pardew after Tuesday's friendly between the sides about how Campbell might benefit from a similar spell. "I looked at their squad on Tuesday night and even when they were taking guys off they were replacing them with players who are top drawer," Lennon said. "Conor Newton came on in the second half and he did very well for us last year and we now have a strong affiliation with Newcastle. "Young Adam Campbell looked lively when he came on and he is a player we are more than aware of."
Guest
That'd be a good move for him.
Disco
That'd be a good move for him. Anywhere with guaranteed first team football Doesn't seem to have harmed any of the other lads going up there that's for sure.

SEMTEX
Needs to be playing week in week out smashing them in for Bournemouth. Feel like the loan is even more important for a striker than for people like Fergle and Tavbo
Disco
Have they qualified for the Europa League too? Nah. McLeague Cup doesn't go in.

Tiresias
Definitely needs to go out on loan, though wonder if it should be championship level, not sure the SPL is good enough.
jdckelly
Definitely needs to go out on loan, though wonder if it should be championship level, not sure the SPL is good enough. doesn't seem to have done Dummett any harm judging by the stories he could even start the first game though I do get your point, its just hard to know where he really is atm when he hasn't had much first team chances
BillClinton
I feel like he would at least get guaranteed playing time in the SPL, not sure he would in the championship. He definitely need to go someplace where he can play every week.
NUFC_Sam
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2393994/Newcastle-talks-Besiktas-midfielder-Manuel-Fernandes.html Loaned to Carlisle according to Daily Mail... makes sense considering we have so many striking options
Mole_Toonfan
He never gets used anyway like it matters. Good move for him, hope he does well.
Pilko
Major straw clutch but we must be confident of getting another one in if we're letting him go? Leaves us with Remy, Shola, Gouffran, Cisse. Considering Remy and/or Gouffran will be deployed wide, we need one for the bench, Shola is shite, and cover for inevitable injuries, we're still a player shy IMO. Who's next in the pecking order after that? Vuckic is supposedly on his way out for a loan too, so which reserve prodigy is next? Alex Gillilead, Jonathyn Quinn, Adam Armstrong... need binnsy or someone to maybe shed some light there.
Deuce
He needs to get regular playing time, which he wouldn't have gotten here. Carlisle beats rotting away for the reserves.
Ameritoon
Can't believe how little he played this preseason. Good move.
Willow
hopefully one of the groundsmen or the tea-lady will step into the vacant striker role for now, to boost numbers glad he's away on loan, surely we must be closer to a striker now though...
