Mick
Cant quite believe I've ventured into this collection of opinions that could only described as an abomination but what I will say is that regardless of how you rate this group of players, Alan Pardew is getting the absolute least out of them and has done all season. Not been calling for his head since the first slip up like some of the clowns in this thread but I really cannot see any progress from here. Needs to go in the summer for me. Some of the clowns in here seem to have more foresight than you seem to be able to call upon.
Parky
Remind me, how many goalscorers have Everton in their squad? At least two Who? Felliani is top scorer. They don't have anybody else in the top 20. They have 5 players on 5 goals or more in the league including Jelavic and Felliani who have 18 between them. We've got two - Cisse and Cabaye. Yeah I was looking at that, but Gouffran and Sissoko have only just arrived - these two are good for 5/6 goals each a season easily. Hatem uninjured is worth ten....Ah I see the trap of this argument now.. I guess there is a case to be made with this regard, but Norwich, WBA and Swansea have all been in the top 5 this season and none of those sides are blessed with a spread of goalscorers. Still maintain we don't create enough and that is the root of it all. We don't do that cause we sit too deep and it seems players don't have the license to get forward/get told off.... Mistle17
I believe that before today, there were far too many people content with Pardew, hanging onto this '5th place' bullshit to actually bother getting riled up about it or take their blinkers off. Now though, I think its a different story and a loss next week and a pasting against Liverpool (probably likely) will see things turn very nasty. He must be sacked off today alone, there's no way an NUFC manager- especially one in his position- can survive a result like that. Its disgusting to even contemplate, let alone suffer from. If he loses his next two matches, what gives him the right to stay in his job? Nothing. But we're a circus and Ashley won't do shit about it.

Parky
Spurs have Bale only really scoring since Defoe got inj...Liv - Saurez only for ages, Villa - Benteke, S'hampton - Lambert, Wba - Lukaku, Sunlun - Fletcher (for ages the only one scoring), Felliani is the top scorer for Everton ffs!! The key thing is creating chances and setting up a side that knows what should happen when in posession and to see patterns that are repeated (coach has explained how to attack a particular side etc)... Sit too deep and att responsability is mostly with 2/3 players - not going to happen. I actually don't think the lack of attacking pattern is really this team's biggest problem. Managers like Redknapp prefer to leave the offensive stuff up to players as much as possible, he mainly finds the right type of player, but most importantly, actually plays them in a position (and formation) that complements their natural abilities. Right now we've got a defensive midfielder that can't play football that well, playing as some all-action centre mid. An attack-minded central midfielder with limited physical capabilities, also playing as some all-action mid. The only true box-to-box player we have is playing as a striker who's not helping out the aforementioned 2 enough, and we have an AM and a striker on the wings. The midfield '3' in particular, is a mess, no wonder they don't look at all cohesive. It's what I said a bit earlier in the thread. I believe this is cause of Pards particular paranoias...He likes Cabaye to play from deep and he likes a tackler upfront (sissoko) to do some hounding. I agree that triangle would be better turned on its head. I bet he will never start Marv and Hatem in the same game...Ever.

TRon
We literally don't have any wingers yet we cross the ball alot...Why? Cisse is crap in the air yet most balls he deals with are lobbed or floated at him...Why? When on the few ocassions the mf come up who goes into the box (apart from Cisse) and who comes short to split the defence? (Nobody)... It's like 80's school football. This is way above the heads of most average fans and window glazing specialists.

angrypirate71
That's what has been niggling away at the back of my mind though, the basics, little things like watching Simpson (ok, bad example) receive the ball from a CB. His ability prevents him from even touching the ball with his left peg, allowing him to face in the direction we're supposed to be playing, meaning his default is to knock it square to a retreating Cabaye, or back to the CB or Krul. Meanwhile, over his right shoulder, another attack remains unfulfilled... There are so many varying examples of this every game, I'm starting to wonder if AP is actively coaching the 'stupid' into this squad.
Parky
He's done. Two straight defeats against Wba and Liv and we'll be in serious relegation troubles...Pure luck we have a Qpr game coming when they'll already be down, which will prob get us the final 3 points to save us. It wasn't foresight, it was just understanding how the game is played successfully today. Sunderland scored three times today, not one goal came from a long hopeless punt up the field. ohmelads
Could it be that we scout and buy players based solely on their value for money (or potential value) and not with a view to how they might fit into any tactical gameplan? Cisse up top on his own doesn't benefit our team game, while the alternative - 442 - doesn't suit our midfielders. Any new coach is going to discover the same problems. Having said that, could we do better with the standard of players available? I believe so, and that lies at the manager's door. My patience is wearing thin after yesterday's disaster and it's becoming harder to make excuses for him.
Mole_Toonfan
Could it be that we scout and buy players based solely on their value for money (or potential value) and not with a view to how they might fit into any tactical gameplan? We know that we do.... thing is any decent manager will usually adapt to the players he has and use them in a way that suits their natural abilities. Pardew has clearly proven he has no idea how to do that, funny thing is if Leon Best stayed we would probably not be in this mess as he suits the type of crap Pardew wants his team to play. He only knows one way and no matter the players he has he will insist that upon them.
Barnes23
Jordan @JordanLeeJones_ 11h If anybody is retarded enough to think pardew should be sacked, tell me, I'll come break your legs. Tom Kelk @tomkelk 11h Stop calling for Pardew to be sacked. It won't help, and is not the way forward. It's been a bad season but lots of mitigating factors #NUFC Jack Matthewson @JackMatthewson 11h Pardew getting sacked isn't the answer more money should of been spent in the summer knowing we had europa league!! Paul Brotherton @PaulBrotherton_ 11h Last tweet about this. Anyone saying Pardew should be sacked are wrong. Why would you sack a man that's taken us to Europe? #badseason Babson @bethabson 11h Pardew has had a few shockers but no way does he deserved to be sacked. Stop being so stupid. #nufc

aussiemag
Its a no brainer, this clown has to be shown the door at the end of the season. We had a very strong team available yesterday, with no gameplan whatsoever. A good manager could do wonders with this squad and two or three signings. Pardew has shown nothing this season at all, to deserve another season at the helm. We have not had one convincing performance and are incredibly lucky to have gotten three points against, West Brom at home, Stoke at home and Fulham at home. We could be 6 points worse off and sitting in the bottom 3. Its nothing short of a disgrace.
